True. So much for the updated Gorilla Glass. It may be more scratch resistant, but it seems extremely brittle. Though maybe it's not the fault of the glass at all - could just be the way they've placed it. The S1 wasn't as thin, and the bevel around the edge was raised above the glass, whereas the S3 is far more compact and rigid, and the glass is raised above the edge of the casing. Also, the edge is metallic and harder, but the S1 had a far more impact absorbing plastic edge.
 
Recommend you guys try exdialer from the market. Way better than the stock dialer.

Been using long time, awesome dialer and contacts interface
 
I flashed the Polish JB ROM a while back and now CSC says unknown.

Not too bothered about that but my keyboard doesnt do predictive text anymore...

I wonder if its related...

Quick Question: I need assistance with applying a ROM (CM10 or Omega 29), but I am complete noob when it comes to Android (previous Apple Fanboy). I would need step-by-step guide on how to root, apply etc.

Any suggestions of where to look. FYI: I have already downloaded the files, but not sure what to do next.

There are installation instructions on the Omega page. They explain what to do better than I can.

Make sure you buy ROM Toolbox Pro.
 
Has anybody here used RootBox on the galaxy s3? I have been using it on my s2 for a week now and when my dad used my phone(he has the s3) was smitten. I used the phones next to each other and the s3 was much slower.

Just want to hear is anybody has had a similar performace increase with the s3 using rootbox, because my dad wants it now. Its kina funny if you ask me. Haha.

Something is wrong with his S3 then. I've yet to come across a phone snappier than mine, especially with power saving off.
 
What is Rootbox? Download something to check what speed the processor is working at.
 
Anyone flashed the stock French Unbranded ROM (I9300XEFDLJ2) yet? I am just about to give it a go now. There is talk of improvements on the Polish one. I for one am keen to try as I have picked up a few issues (cut and paste in Chrome seems to restart the phone and the caller ID hiding issue mentioned earlier in this thread).

I'm running the Swedish version now and all my little niggles from Polish rom are gone. Haven't bothered with the latest wave of roms since Swedish version as ZA version is currently projected for release tomorrow.
 
What If I already have the Polish version running on my phone, can I just flash the Swedish one over it?

Phone is not rooted. Flashed via odin.
