I was expecting it to last atleast 18 hours with moderate use.
But i am not complaining as i have car charger. Remember i am always on the road.

You will easy see 18 hours.
But ye - charger in the car a must. I have both my cigarette lighter sockets housing dual USB sockets with 2A output each. Nice flat ones so they are non intrusive.

I tried, and uninstalled, a number of battery stats/battery saver apps. My logic, which someone can happily refute, was that they too must be using some battery power to maintain all those stats.
 
Can I ask how your phones are holding up physically guys? Had mine for 5 days now, immediately bought a cover. Only fell down once from my cars dashboard, otherwise I treat it with a lot of care. Just saw that my screen has scrathes all over and the silver frame around the phone has already cracked :(

This is ridiculous, those tests they show with keys, knives etc. not being able to scratch the screen have to be untrue...

I don't protect my S3 at all and it's in the same condition it was in when I got it brand new in June. I handle it like an egg though.

Jeez dude what you been doing to your phone that it is scratched?? I have had mine for 3 months and it looks like the day I bought it. No screen protector and not a single scratch.
 
Mine is fine. My Bodyglove cover, which was put on within 15 minutes of purchasing the phone, covers the silver frame edges and removing it shows they are still pristine. I also put the screen saver that came with it on and although that has a few scratches on it, being plastic, I assume the screen underneath is still in perfect condition. And I have dropped mine more than a few times and it sits in my Camelbak every time I go for a mountain bike ride.

Have you given your screen a good clean?
I sometimes get funny marks on my screen that look like scratches, but after a clean with an appropriate cloth (like for cleaning glasses), it is shiny new again.
Had a few devices and none of them ever ended with a scratched screen.

That crack sounds really dodgy though.

I agree. Same logic with task killers and memory optimizers.

BUT Bbs doesn't log anything really. It accesses the android system stats. All it does is record reference points, and graph the stats.

Bbs is not for the laymen. You need to Google each wakelock to understand what's going on though.

But really really worth it.

Maybe the Nokia poltergeists are having some fun with it at night, punishing me for finally leaving them. :) In all seriousness though, your replies are really bumming me out, because I treat all my stuff with extreme care.

Thanks for the tip, it does look better after a clean, however there are 3 or 4 deep scratches - 1 in the middle that's long & very visible and 2 in the top right corner. What's strange though is that the scratches in the corner (1 vertical, 1 horizontal) are exactly parallel to the screens edge.

The crack is on the left where the phone fell from the dash, but that was onto carpet so doesn't really make sense either... :(

Sorry dude don't mean to bum you out. I am also very careful with my phone, make sure there is nothing else in my pocket like keys or coins that could scratch it. I find women are the worst, they chuck their phones into their hand bags with makeup and keys and stuff and then wonder why their phones are scratched lol. :rolleyes:

I am really surprised that it is scratched. It really shouldn't scratch easily at all.
 
I just picked up the first issue on my Polish JB. Tried to hide caller ID under my call settings to get hold of someone who has been avoiding calls and I was unable to make the call at all.
