32GiB = 29.8GB - so they're using a definition that whilst correct is a bit misleading.

Anyone else getting these annoying Playstore Game Ads? I've disabled notifications from playstore and still get like 5 a day. In the status bar shows up as a circle with a plus sign in the middle.

It is one of the apps you downloaded that is sending it. Go through all your apps and disable notifications for all of them.
 
thought it might be something like that. Already uninstalled the last 4 or 5 apps i installed will check on the others, shot.

No , not if you install via Odin. I've installed a week ago the Egypt 4.1.2 with Odin and everything was left on the phone.

Kies also work even with Egypt rom (not for upgrading though)

Multi-window works great!
 
Gah, confusion

Anyone here running their S3 on CellC? Trying to figure out which model I need to get so that I will have 3G when I get back home. By the looks of it the i9300 is the only one that'll work?

Also, for those with 1GB RAM versions, is it ever too little, are the 2GB RAM versions overkill?

Yes my GT-I9300 works on Cell C, no complains on the 1GB but the more RAM the better I guess.
 
Normal i9300 works 32gb tested on cellc mtn voda and 8ta the higher ram models are the USA variants with a dual core in and more ram to make up for it, a custom ROM like foxhound keeps some stock android features while giving you the optimizations I'd do that I'm running liquid smooth 4.2.1 for a pure nexus android experience and to date amazing fast ROM battery life amazing too don't need all that bloatware
 
I see SamMobile has 4.1.2 for XFE, wonder when XFA will be up.

XFE = 8ta/Virgin ?

Can you guys recommend some good contracts that come bundled with the S3? A friend of mine is in the market for one and is looking for the best deal.
