Samsung Galaxy S3

Is everything working in CM9 RC2?

For me, yes, full functionality, but your mileage may vary. I had no need to to experiment with different modems, as was often the case. I had LF2 on the phone before going CM9, and it never skipped a beat. And LF2 still works perfectly in CM10 on the latest preview build too (0721).

And I am back!!!
Will also use CM10 as my daily driver. Installed the latest build last night and battery is back to awesomeness. Had a lekker 9 hour sleep with 2% battery drop. Nadimm, maybe check the latest build out but I saw Samsung is actually planning an official release pretty soon.
Hey, have a lekker afternoon all.

Waiting on video before going to cm10. They should just abandon cm9 for the s3 if it creates rework.

Can anyone give some advice on how to maximize battery life over and above the standard power saving settings. Also how can one reduce data usage? I am noticing usage is higher than my iPhone was.

any one else finding that the wireless and cellular signal has got worse since they put the samsung update on?

I've got a clever task app called Lama, it can learn locations and you can assign tons of different actions and profile depending on where you are. I turn off wifi when I'm not at home.

Cool I will check it out, thanks Fudzy!

Yip, I use Llama for the same thing. You teach it when you're at home, work, pub, meeting etc and it then automagically adjusts to the profiles you predetermine when you're in any of those areas...

Ok Lama is officially the most awesome app. I am loving Anroid more and more each day. Thanks Fudzy.

Regarding data usage , go into Settings -> Data Usage and scroll down and check what is actually using the data? Also right there you can click on any app there and set it to not use data "in the background" etc etc. So play with that? In my case, for some reason Exchange (adding a work exchange email account) was eating alot of data, changed it to only sync manually or every x hours instead of all the time, cut down on alot of data right there.

Does look awesome, but that is 50 SA rond. Lama = free :p

Edit: Plus some of the comments on the app make it out to be confusing and a mission.

Seriously going by comments on an app like this is not the way forward.
This app is an advanced tool that is SUPER POWERFUL, so noobs will complain.
Oh paid app you said? Haaaiii neee

Tasker is a bit of a mission - but once you get the hang of it it is very awesome :D
