Samsung Galaxy S3

got s 3 p blue.
damm , the phone is super human.

busy downloading some apps that i was having on my Samsung i8510 Innov ( Symbian Software)
 
Man, without power saving mode enabled my battery drops a percentage every few minutes while I'm using the phone for browsing etc.

Is this normal? I've been using power saver mode until I updated to JB today. But without it my battery won't even do six hours?
 
Before we go S4, I'm still considering S3. Nokia is forcing me there same as iPhone, due to pricing and less palatable ways to sync Outlook data. I have NO Android experience and no Samsung consultant could tell me anything about Samsung Suite or Kies.


I do need direct sync via Bluetooth, USB or OTA. Email, calendar entries, contacts with multiple fields, notes, to-do's. I could not find one single sales ''consultant'' with any knowledge of this at all. So here I am, hoping that someone here may have working knowledge to share?

Please no cloud sync.........

I got my p-blue S3 on friday. The screen is gorgeous!! I found it way over saturated for my liking, but in the display settings, you can set it to natural, which IMO, makes it the best display out there!!

Enjoy your new phone!!

On Saturday I had the chance to muck around with a Galaxy S3 and it is a very impressive phone.

I always set my screen mode on Dynamic, as I really like the over saturated colors. Looks great in movies, music videos and YouTube videos!
 
Hey guys,

Quick question regarding the flashing of this official polish firmware on my MTN international SGS3. I am taking a look at the link on XDA:

Now it all sounds good, albeit a little simple so I have found more detailed steps elsewhere, but the talk of changing your CSC afterwards concerns me a little. Will flashing this polish firmware affect anything? Does it change my CSC? And what happens to my access to the Google Play store if it does? Does it affect my warranty? Will the official SA firmware update still happen once it is released OTA?

I obviously have a few concerns. I'm happy to flash but if it is going to result in me losing my warranty and access to certain things then I'd perhaps rather be patient and wait for the local update.

Seen a few peeps on XDA flash without wiping and they reckon all good.
Otherwise try MyBackup. I think it can be used without root. I use Titanium so not sure about MyBackup, but have a look.

I have not bothered with correcting the CSC. As far as I am aware, setting it correctly just means you will receive OTA updates when they are released. I flash so often that I don't really care about this
Besides, if you have to absolutely have the SA release when it comes then just get it from Sammobile and all will be good.

Play Store functions 100%.

Warranty should be fine, but if you are concerned, download the SA ICS official from Sammobile and flash that to go back to stock.

I force closed the offending process and it's been okay since then. Will keep an eye on it.

Thanks. One final thing I would like confirmed. When updating to this firmware using ODIN does your media, contacts etc get affected or does everything stay as is? IE. is there a need to back up? Assuming all goes well of course...

No need to back up. I flashed mine just fine without losing anything.
