Thanks for the tip. QuickPic is much nicer. I also have the problem with the standard Gallery that doesn't show the pictures in full screen.

Upgraded to JB this morning. I ave not had much time to check it out, but it looks noticeably quicker.

How do I get rid of bloatware like Chaton, Google+, etc?

What bloatware did you freeze with Titanium except for Chaton, Google+ etc...

Sorry, but you must have had a dud unit then. Coming from the iPhone 4 and 4s I can confidently say that is a load of horse manure. The responsiveness is on par if not better than the iPhone. And laggy? :wtf: I would recommend trying someone else's unit.

There is a setting in QuickPic for single tap zoom. Also, QuickPic allows you to exclude certain folders from the gallery, just long press to exclude. Nice to keep away clutter like icon folders or other radnom stuff.

The latest CM10 nightlies seem to be nice and solid.

Only issue I've been having so far is that scrolling through a long list of messages in whatsapp seems to lag slightly - but I can quite happily live with that.

Just realised again today that you need a data bundle when you have a S3. I used up all my data and just used up R400 since yesterday.

I don't have a data bundle. I use wifi, and the few occasions I need to connect over 3G only uses a few MB a month. There are a number of apps that allow you to closely monitor and limit your data usage, and ICS and Jelly Bean have built in data tools too.

Get yourself 3G watchdog or something.
Failure to manage your data usage on this phone could push you into the pits of poverty, especially if you're on Vodacom.
I treat the "mobile data" button on this thing like a diseased vagina, especially after that one afternoon where I was blissfully streaming music to my phone, not realizing the wifi was down and my mobile data was on.

My breadstick diet and the signs of scurvy around my mouth can attest to that.

Careful, I found one of the most recommended tools (My Data Manager) would wakelock my phone endlessly. Killed battery like crazy. I don't fuss with a data manager anymore. I use MyPhoneBill SA (http://goo.gl/4TOCK) to keep an eye on data/sms/minutes balances.

My phone (Poland JB official) has just stopped all "paste" functions. Freakin irritating me no end! I can select and copy anything, try and paste it anywhere, just getting the cursor staring at me, no popup menu to paste. wtf?

Another obvious thing about Jellybean that irritates me so far.
The slide down notification thing is nice, but:
A - They need a damn arrow or something that indicates whether you can actually expand a notification or not (how the hell did the Google developers miss that?)
B - Why can you only slide open the notification using two fingers? It's irritating and looks stupid. One finger would've been perfect.
