Samsung Galaxy S8

I am thinking of getting the S8 on the Vodacom upgrade, but they charging an extra R20 for the extras.

I think the person you spoke to might have been mentally inept, it is R659 for the S8 on Smart Top Up S+ and the accessory pack is free.

In other news, today is the first day of my S6 being on prepaid. I bought myself a recharge voucher and everything (via online banking - I'm not a total savage).

Good luck to all you S8 peeps, I'm still waiting for a good in-depth review here!

Maybe you should print out that one page of the PDF with the deal you want and take it with or just fill in the form online and have them call you?

I will print it out first and show them then tomorrow, I did also fill in the online application earlier too.

If you have Twitter I recommend you message Vodacom support and tell them you preordered the S8 and never received a call back.

If you want the accessory kit maybe you should go for the online order, I'm sure you can wait 3-5 days for delivery.

Try and see if you can twist their arm but definitely don't get one in store knowing if you order online you get the accessory pack. The wireless charger is very convenient, I have mine on my desk next to my keyboard.

Do you have a tempered glass fitted on by any chance?
I also got a UAG cover for the S8, want to get the curved tempered glass, but not sure of the fit taking into consideration the cover.
Can anyone recommend tempered glass that they bought especially wrt to the curved edges?

This is again only what I've read about it but I don't think I've ever heard something good about tempered glass protectors for the curved screens, maybe with the S8 it will be different because of how slight the curve is this time.

The tempered glass protectors leave an air gap and that reduced the screen's sensitivity because you have to press harder, making it like the old school resistive touch screens.

Please don’t spend $50 on a screen protector for Samsung’s Galaxy S8

I get what you saying. Is there any sort of protection for the screen then? I feel scratches will be inevitable as the only thing on there now is the plastic that comes with. That also does not cover the edges.
So my main concern is scratches.
I think the UAG cover provide most protection otherwise. I also did "drop Tests", not actually dropping It, but mimicking a fall to see if any part of the phone touches the ground first before the cover.

My phone always lives in it's own pocket, Fanie bought my old S4 and he can tell you it looked brand new still after two years, no screen protector, just a case, if you're concerned with scratches get a normal film screen protector not tempered glass.

Yep, can confirm.

Also, I don't do screen protectors. Nothing goes in my pocket with the phone and gorilla glas has been proper since I had my S2
