Samsung Galaxy S8

Fanie, did you come right with your Gear? I only realized after I answered you that it was posted on XDA... You could've just asked here ☺️

seems unsupported on my phone, maybe vodacom doesn't have it yet??

edit: LOL - launched in 2015 already

edit again: and then I see someone phoned vodacom in 2016 and was told it's not available yet :wtf:

You will have to wait for a firmware update from Vodacom and have VoLTE activated on your SIM.

I know Wi-Fi calling is in the works for the Vodacom S8.

Ah ok. Spoke to Ockie, he logged a call on my behalf, we want to see an official response from Vodacom :)

I have an official unofficial email from a certain someone at Vodacom in which the terms Wi-Fi calling and S8 are mentioned.

meneer, they closed the call and provisioned Volte on the line. I am not sure if vowifi falls under the same thing. Reboot and check that advanced calling or volte is switched on your device and do some testing for us please.

nope, nothing, it's probably as SA said in the post before yours that it's still in development for the S8.

Power saving mode or normal mode what's the best ?

If you pay that much for a brilliant phone, why limit it? The battery is good enough to last a day, so no need to power save, unless you are going to be away from a charger for extended periods.

Don't be the guy that bought a Ferrari and replaced the engine with 1.4i for reasons of "efficiency" :p

Battery for today. 53% left. Quite happy with the performance.
