Samsung Galaxy S8

Has anyone received their couriered S8 from Telkom yet? Am I just being impatient (probably...) or should an order I placed on the phone last Tuesday have arrived yet? I called on Friday and was told that stock had been set aside for me and was awaiting delivery, but tracking the reference number given to me for CourierIT has yielded nothing.

Finally replacing my LG G3, which has been faultless for nearly 3 years!

I have never made a wi-fi call... i don't even know how it works, and where to find the settings... someone want to enlighten me?

I would like to know as well. Have crappy VC signal at work and home. I have Wi-Fi at both though.

Settings/Connections

Only have the option to switch it on or off.

No idea how it works and if my FNB sim supports it.

care to give us a screenshot, i don't see it on my vodacom device.

I see it under call settings as well, when you open the dialer.

See here wrt CellC's WiFi calling. FNB Connect is on the CellC network, but I cannot get the Dialer Icon to display Wi-Fi calling.

seems unsupported on my phone, maybe vodacom doesn't have it yet??

edit: LOL - launched in 2015 already

edit again: and then I see someone phoned vodacom in 2016 and was told it's not available yet :wtf:

And here is the kicker: Called FNB Connect and the lady advised I must enable roaming for WiFi calling to work as CellC roams on Vodacom.

Not sure, I have always prefered dark themes. The theory behind it is yes, themes with pure black on AMOLED screens "should" save battery, since the pixel is off to dispay black. I haven't done any testing myself though. Difference might be negligible.
