Many a times. Also allowed a full 24 hours since the update.

What software do you recommend using for flashing?
Havnt flashed a samsung before. First samsung. Used flashtool for Sony before.

Before reflashing it , you might want to try this that i read on another forum [note: I haven't tried it myself]

Download Nova launcher. Create activities widget. Scroll down till you see phone. Look for the one that has 129. Press it. Scroll down till you see enhanced lte services. Check/uncheck as required

Odin is the Samsung equivalent.

Be sure to Google how to before just doing it.

And you're 100% sure it's not the SIM/contract, because as you previously said:

Also, how come I do not see VoLTE icon at all. 4g shows up. I know for a fact that it is activated due to the hassle I had to go through to activate on a business contract.

Also the person I sold my S6 to had it all activated and it still didn't work until they disabled international roaming.

Yea the hassle was phoning Vodacom business, getting a company letterhead with directors signature stating that they may activate LTE.

I am able to make international calls. Maybe I should try deactivating that tomorrow.

Nice. Been seeing VoLTE on my S7 Edge for the past 2months in certain parts of my home. Of course, as with Murphy's Law, its in all the weird areas that I don't spend much time in e.g. the spare room, the closed patio, and in all of our balconies, and of course in the garden where its damn cold at the moment. FFS.

The person I sold my phone to said he did everything but nothing worked until international roaming was disabled.

He said you will get an SMS saying roaming enabled but it's actually disabled.

I think it's one of the things you can disable yourself on the Vodacom site if you log in.

But I'm actually not sure if international ROAMING is the cause or if I have it activated. All I know is I can make international calls.

I tried, but it is not letting me. Try doing it on the Vodacom app like Soul said.

Yesterday when making a call on LTE, I noticed a HD indicator on the screen.... interesting.

I don't have VoLTE. My phone says 4g instead of LTE. And no volte icon.

The best connection I was getting was HSDPA (speed test : 14Mbps), Vodacom 111 wasn't really helpful. But I asked Ockie to provision my LTE yesterday, and I started getting 4G signal (Speedtest 28Mbps), so I assumed it was LTE. :erm: . I was just happy to get 2x the speed.

I don't have a VoLTE icon or VoWifi icon either. I am assuming its due to the fact that i did the software upgrade BEFORE provisioning the LTE.

You think so? I actually just activated LTE and volte on a prepaid sim. Waiting 24 hours and gna plug it in to check if the phone has volte with that sim. If not, then I know it's a software problem

I see in your screenshot no 3 (Hd voice settings) above that your is greyed out.?
If you have 4G, that HD setting will
be accessible to enable.

If you enable it then, the
the voLTE icon will appear.

I'm on Vodacom.
i also did the software update
and then later enable voLTE via
Customer care call centre.
Same as you, so it does not matter.

I have S8+
To access /see Hd settings
Plse note,
you cannot find it in ordinary Settings.

To see / enable, you can either use Nova /activities, but
i used QuickShortcutMaker app.

Also note if you are out of 4G range
setting turns off and auto back on in 4G again.
