Samsung One Ui 7.0

there's a few things that i want from One Ui7 - the vertical App drawer like i had in my Xiaomi phones (its automatic if you set the app drawer in alphabetical order) plus some of the home screen customizations - so all cosmetic things but sometimes you just want your phone to behave differently than the older official firmware makes it behave and the update makes this happen BUT then that update keeps getting pushed back so its really getting on my nerves now

Ah you just want pretty :) you could just find a launcher that does that.

and i am using Gestures instead of the navigation bar

also now that Samsung has said that when most phones get the One Ui7 update that they will add Good Lock to the Samsung store - it would be another interesting custom tool to play around with - and they are only going to add it when One Ui7 is completed rolling out ..... which is another reason IMHO to be impatient for even the lowliest phones like the A05 to get it (if they were originally slated to get it)

will consider it - gonna do some searches for launchers that can overlay One Ui that have some of the features i want :thumbsup:

For Apple it's a requirement, all the core apps like maps, photos, safari are tied to the OS, plus security updates.
For Android it makes it look pretty

yeah but Samsung generally give monthly security updates - and most of us get those in the month they are released even if its later in the month than the flagships - so its not essential for them to include those in the complete firmware updates because they are mostly regular with those

but AFAIK you need One UI7 to make the latest version of Good lock work or am i mistaken? - the older version that might have worked on my phone is the one that was region locked

the one in my phone works - just don't try to do the AI transcription of the files it records unless you can read and speak Martian or other languages not from this planet :rolleyes: :p :ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:
 
the last i looked at the region roadmap - initially Africa was just stating that it was "Yet to rollout" but now there has been an amendment however this was that they just added Nigeria and not South Africa which is disappointing - Samsung SA is a big pile of dog poop IMHO (because according to a thread on Reddit from the release time of One UI6.1 it is known that the service providers have zero to do with firmware releases and it is all down to Samsung themselves) - and they can easily communicate some info to us however these tw@tties choose not to - this is now my last Samsung phone ...... i will not involve myself in cr@p like this from my next purchase onward
