YET ANOTHER EPIC FAIL - #ProudlyBroughtToYouByTheANC!

For approximately the last 12 hours or so, as of time of this posting, the SANRAL website has been completely offline, so even REGISTERED e-tag users (all 4 of them - JZ, Dipuo Peters, Nazir Alli & Vusi Mona) cannot check their statements or transactions history to work out how much they owe them.

Can't ping them either. Maybe they changed IPs and it hasn't propagated through to all the DNS servers yet?

Also not working here. From yesterday morning.

I wonder if the service provider I am using has got anything to do with this. I am using telkom mobile.

I'm on Telkom Mobile at the moment as well. I had another box do a NMAP scan of the IP 41.78.142.134, which should be the IP for the website, and the site reported as up with two ports open, 80, as expected, and 443, also as expected. I can't reach that IP at all from the Telkom Mobile network though.

I tried accessing using my office network and I could access the website.

So it seems to be problem with telkom mobile.

Telkom Mobile has blocked Sanral.

Can access it via Vodacom, CellC and MTN but not on Telkom Mobile.

As of 08h00 this morning, still no joy trying to connect to the SANRAL website using Telkom Mobile 3G, despite doing an ipconfig /release & /renew, then rebooting the PC, disconnecting and reconnecting the 3G dongle, as well as using CCleaner to clear the internet caches of both Firefox and Chrome.

It is most puzzling that it appears that ONLY the SANRAL website seems to be affected, all other websites appear to load OK.

Using Telkom internet at work and it does not open for me either.

MTN on my phone works.

SANRAL is probably the only malicious website you are trying to load. If you were trying to load various other malicious sites then you'd have the same problem with them.
