SARS E-Filing 2019/20

An update on my side: eventually a lady called me, they want to audit me. But how must one smell ... the error or message said the issue is on Sars’s side.

Well, all supporting docs submitted now, lets see
 
Cool. Thanks. Last question. Some of my invoices do not have a practice number. Like pilates. Can I include those?
You can only claim a tax deduction for qualifying medical expenses, and this comes down to prescribed medicines only (for most tax payers). No deductions can be claimed for OTC or any non prescribed medicines.
 
when is this years deadline?
Manual submission deadline is this week I think, in two days. Online is the 16th Nov.

I have mine pre-filled in. Just getting my disability form signed at the doc tomorrow and then I will submit and get the inevitable audit.
 
I still don't have an answer from 10X regarding the IRP5. They are adamant it is SARS who is at fault but SARS would've fixed the issue by now, surely.

Basically, they've given me an IRP5 with a cert number in the format <TAXNUMBER><YYYY>00000... whereas SARS says it should be <TAXNUMBER><YYYY><DD>00000...

Getting 10X to do anything is a mission. All I can think of, if nothing gets fixed, is to add the missing 02 to the number, file it and if SARS flags it I'll send them the TAX cert, correspondence etc.

10x is turning out to be a real scht experience for me. Can I take them to the ombudsman if they do not at least attempt to resolve this issue?
 
Has anyone else experienced the issue of having too many TFSA investments. Both mine and my husbands is saying we have 3. I have 2 and he only has 1.

We can't manually change the number because it gives and error but we can't submit the tax return with the "missing" information for accounts that don't exist.

Trying phoning in but the wait time is an hour :X3:

I had an issue like this. I logged a ticket with my TFI institution, in my case EasyEquities, and they sorted it out for me. It did take a few weeks to get sorted though, so be patient.

I had the same issue. I went to sars, 3 hours later its my providers issue.

Sars fix. At the general screen... add another tfsa, and just complete a double entry (woth the missing info)
 
You cant enter certain info. I had a tfsa, section 4219 was R0, but I paid R7000 in. (That was read only.

So I created a double entry, filled the missing info in, crossing fingers now

I should have clarified, the 2nd and 3rd are completely blank, there is no info in there as we don't have extra TFSA's. So wondering if we can just add 0's everywhere just so we can submit

But it seems like a few people had double entries and it was fine...

Yes, if blank.... zero all fields

Not sure the history but I'm assuming the information is incorrect on efiling.

For all the guys experiencing similar issues, have you tried saving to pdf what you've already done then attempted a refresh? I had issues with EE and a recent refresh fixed em but I did have to go re-enter and verify some info after the refresh...

I had exactly the same issue - tax return showed 3 TFIs, when I only have one. Two of the three sections were blank too. I escalated this to my TFI institution and they resolved it as multiple people experienced similar issues.

Mine took 12 weeks to be fixed!
 
Anyone know how to fix this, sars say clear history, make sure flash is up to date - all done

My parents senior citizens missed the deadline yesterday. I cant register them on efilling ,saysbrhey dont exists(not true)

Can one still make an appointment to go into a branch, when I called the call centre they said they only doing virtual or telephonic submissions, but I want them to make a booking to go into a branch

I see the booking at branches isnt an option anymore. The scheduled a telephone booking. They impressed me!

I book 3 times for a telephonic booking and they never honored it. I eventually phoned and waited till a had a consultant on the phone and the person was very helpful. Tried then a 2nd time a day later and that person after 2 minutes put the phone down in my ear and was very rude.
 
Has any body has a resolution on the 4482 L/S amount missing issue.
I did have a lump sum paid out in March so from what I've gathered it has a IRP5 for the current tax year. However according to SARS a directive needs to be placed on a IRP5.
I've been in contact with SARS who cannot help me as they say The fund/employer will have to submit an IRP5 for the 2020 directive.
However when I contact the fund they say that the IRP5 is not available now because the lump sum was paid out in March.
"Therefore, the IRP5 for your gratuity will only go under 2020-2021 tax year of which we can only print next year once it is available on system."

If anybody can point me in some direction it will be greatly appreciated.
