SARS E-Filing 2021/22

You can claim for the labour portion. Capital costs may be depreciated at the same rate as office furniture. It must be used exclusively to run the office

Thanks, 2 questions on that.
1. Solar costs are for the entire house, can i not portion that for office % based on square meters? (as my electricity bill is very low and i dont claim that anymore).
2. You say only labour but also capital. So if i paid 140k and only 20k was labour costs, then i can only claim the 20k over 3 years times the % used for office.

Solar had an extra allowance if in the production of income.( Might only be for manufacturing but I have not had time to look into it yet)

This is the only thing i can find:

4.6.2
So why cant i use the entire solar installation cost?

Secondly this is what confuses me, it says in same article sewerage and refuse costs. In other articles it says just rates.

Yep, i saw that but does not qualify in home office. Its only for business or if the property was rented out.

Once the 21 business days have lapsed. Do every taxpayer and tax practitioner a favour.

1. Phone the SARS call center to escalate your case. (Verification not completed)
2. Wait 5 business days for a resolution. A SARS agent should contact you. (They most likely won't)
3. After the 5 business days in point 2 has lapsed. Submit a complaint via the SARS portal. Select "Unresolved service/operational matter"
My 21 business days have elapsed. Is there any way to escalate my case without calling the call center? I don't want to be on hold for hours

Sadly the only way is to phone and ask them to escalate.
the Strike is over now so it was easy to get through...

Make a branch appointment online.

And then ask them to escalate it for you.

You may have to wait 2 weeks for an appointment date. The earliest I could get on Thursday was 26 August.

Otherwise you'll have to hold. The practitioner helpline is unavailable as well. There you have a call back option at least.

I have several verifications that haven't even had an auditor assignment. SARS has been a real mess the last few months.

If the turnaround time for payments are 72 hours, why do you guys think they made mine for the 1st of Sept ?
As per my SOA.
I filed on the 3rd and not selected for audit,

It's only R60 though.

So after Receiving this in July and submitting all documents required and receiving a completion letter finalised without changes last Friday....

If you do not find any error in your return, we would appreciate it if you can send us documentation in support of all your income declared, deductions and exemptions claimed.
Employment contract/letter of employment from the employer with the entity letterhead stating the following: -Physical address of the entity
- Contact number of Human Resources to confirm employment - PAYE Reference Number of the entity where the employee is employed.
- IRP5/IT3(a) employee income tax certificates in respect of remuneration income and lump sums from your employer/pension fund or provident fund or retirement fund
- 3 months' Bank Statement showing the Salary Transfer
- Salary slip for 12 months period or lesser if employment is less than a year

I was meant to be paid tomorrow but just received a notice from SARS to submit exactly the same documentation again and a refund reversal was done!!! WHAT THE HECK!!!!

Are you sure that was actually sent by SARS and that it's not a phishing scam?

Submitted my return on 15 July with the supporting documents the same day. They auditing me and it's been 21 working days now. SARS owes me as I pulled a new SOA this morning. On the SOA there last dated thing is "Original Assessment 01/08/2022" what does that mean?
