SARS E-Filing - Can't pay PAYE/UIF - SARS date issue

Is anyone else experiencing the latest brilliance of our government requirements filing systems?

I can't pay PAYE/UIF due to an error with the date on the payment details screen.

"Please make sure that the date entered is not in the past. 2023/3/6"

I can't access the Payment Request Date as the error pop up blocks any further navigation.

I've had no issues with loading credit pushes today on eFiling.

When in doubt - do a manual payment with the reference number of the liability for the relevant period on your latest EMPSA.

Banking details are at the bottom of the EMPSA. Liability reference will be a line on the EMPSA. Don't use the incorrect one.

Same. I changed the date to yyyy/mm/dd and still nothing.

Thanks for all the replies. I changed my regional date format. No change. There is no way I can change the date on the payment screen on E-Filing as the pop-up prevents any further navigation around the page. Clicking on "OK" does nothing either.

@Charlesjjm glad to hear I am not alone. I have contacted SARS e-filing but think we will end up doing manual payments.

I get an error trying to load a manual payment. :crying:

Out of interest was that date manual or selected from the calendar?

Neither. There is no way to select a date. The pop-up appears as you enter the payment screen. The pop-up blocks any further navigation so you have to exit.

Yesterday, the calendar date was filled in as 2023/3/6. Today it is blank. I assume IT is doing something (?) It must be an 18 hour job.

Which browser are you using? They always hide behind browsers being the issue. Never found changing to make any difference before, but curious that you managed to pay.

I exclusively use Chrome.

Some staff members use Edge.

I loaded a bunch of payments for clients yesterday.

If a penalty was imposed on late payment, keep the screenshots you took yesterday and apply for a remittance of the penalties and interest.

If the credit push function doesn't want to work it's best to resort to a manual (EFT) payment.
