SARS eFiling 2022/2023

Till to dates, I haven’t received anything from Sars, nothing just silence.

Tried to call last week to get the progress .. entered case number. Response was thanks for submitting your documents. Call dropped after.

Checked SOA no changes .. still showing same Refund amount … and it’s still says Not selected for Audit, yet they asked for my supporting docs

Anyone in the same position as me?

Also submitted on 10/07, docs on 11/07, on 01/08 got message that case allocated to sars official, today is day no. 21 since I submitted docs and nothing yet. I get verified every year as I manually input everything including IRP5 details but usually takes less then 21 days for me to get completion letter i.e. this is the first time I have reached day 21 and counting

Last year was the first time I got verified but it took 3 days to finalise / complete my case . This 2023.. it’s taking too long ..I haven’t even got a message that my case has been allocated yet. Nothing . But let’s wait and see.

finally got completion letter yesterday on day 22 i.e. should be paid by Wed next week

@syntax - sadly, nothing yet. I tried to create an online chat with an E-filing agent, but waiting times are crazy (50+ minutes). I will try again on Monday (time zone is a challenge) to see if can I chat with someone there to figure out what's cooking. I will keep you posted.

I was going to try the same this week, although I strongly suspect I will just be told exactly what efiling says.

This live chat is a piece of garbage. The site keeps trying to log me out, and even if I stay active, it keeps saying error and then kills the chat.
Hope your luck is better than mine
 
Still no movement on my bank details verification either. It had been 23 working days already. Called them this morning. The consultant advised he will now send my query through to escalations ( no turn around time) my verifications hasn't even been assigned to anyone yet. Aaaaay!

@syntax - After my 5th attempt and again waiting (and refreshing to stay logged in) for 58 minutes, I got hold of an agent. Short of the long, we are going to wait. Up to 90 WORKING DAYS. See the screenshot of the agent's response below.

I gave up on the 3rd attempt.

90 working days....so like 4 months, and then they will request documentation, this is somewhat of a pain

Finally doing it - I can't seem to find an option to allow for deductions related to a home-office? The only category under "Taxpayer Information - Deductions" is for medical stuff. Am I losing it?
