SARS eFiling 2022/2023

I managed to get my return on the app and then complete it on PC.

However I want to do a calculate before I submit, but it doesn't allow me to on either app or web, web just returns me to the returns site and app just tells me that my request was not successful.

Looks like I will have to wait until the 7th...meh
 
All the "Can't Submit" -gotta wait till the 7th; log onto eFiling.
Click the "My Profile" button
Click "Portfolio Management"
It will take you to a list of your Linked profiles.
Click "Go to Portfolio" on the correct individual profile.
Tada, your eFiling as you know it. I can't generate screenshots/videos without revealing my tax number.

Thanks. I tried it and it didnt work, I just have one profile so after I click on "Go to Portfolio" i see the exact same screen I seen when I log in.

Bummer. The experience is different over here. I've started going to my return like that because when I log in, there's nothing there.

Have you submitted your return yet?

It seems as if there was a 6/8 hour window past Saturday where submissions were possible. Noone could submit after 4pm Saturday.
 
Goin out on a limb here in case anyone is in a similar boat. My wife was with HealthSquared last year before they went belly up. How would we go about getting tax certificates because even the website is offline now. Very frustrating

I would contact the Council for Medical Schemes or the Medical Aid Ombudsman (if there is one) for guidance.

Yeah, selected for verification. Documents were submitted and it was assigned to someone earlier this evening.
 
I will be claiming medical expenses that was not covered by the medical aid. First time I am going to try this but it was a big amount. Last hospital round was just over R30k that came out of my pocket.

Should I attached all the invoices ect when I submit

Most medical aids provide with info think discovery submit info for me

I would yes. But as Gtx mentioned, it should be on the medical tax certificate for expenditure out of pocket. Of course the invoices back the claim up against what is paid. Cannot harm to include the invoice and POP that it was indeed paid. If its relevant and factual you will get your out of pocket expenditure. Good luck!
Either way though, cant submit anything until the 7th.

Not a tax practitioner, but yes. For expenses like doctors visits, hospital visits, prescription medication, etc.
You can't claim for a box of Gaviscon for example

If the amount is not included on your med aid certificate, you can claim it under code 4034, but you return will then go into audit. Then you must submit a schedule with invoices and proof of payment.

I just can't get the setting to enable that section on the Form Wizard.
