And once again: The ANC brigade derail a thread. This is getting ridiculous now. The mods should STOP this trend before myBB turns/becomes useless. The "Current Affairs" section is read by lots of people, from within and outside of South Africa. It is a "barometer" of the South African community. I for one read first the CA section of myBB and then the headlines of major local news papers.

Calling out injustices just before elections is an ideal time I reckon. Might sway the sheeple to vote smarter.

On a paid hiatus and in limbo, top IT (information technology) executive at the South African Revenue Service (Sars), Mmamathe Makhekhe-Mokhuane has been asked to resign and take a golden handshake, according to documents seen by The Citizen.

This alleged request to convince her to leave the organisation has been confirmed by a well-placed Sars employee, who claims that despite a disciplinary process under way against Makhekhe-Mokhuane, who is accused of bringing the institution into disrepute, no charges have been presented to her.

Idiots, just verify her qualification and fire her for lying.

But they can't because that means they never verified it when she started...

This is BS. Lying being rewarded with an increase of an additional 2 million per year and she is going to get a golden handshake to not make HR look stupid. How absurd.

But one thing is clear, she has to go, if this 4 months salary is what it takes then so be it. I doubt she will take it though, she'll probably bargain for more.

No... They need to fscking hurry up with the investigation... Then she can be gone in 1 month and they can also charge her with fraud and try reclaim salary

If it is a long drawn out court case her defence would be paid for by SARS, right? Or will it be different this time since she is just a public servant and not a politician?
 
So is she moving to Correctional Services or Environmental Affairs?
