SARS tax return refund turn around time

You need to prepare yourself and take in the new banking details way before tax season starts and not after.
 
I am camping in this thread so I can say;I filed my return on Thursday at 22:00 and I got paid at Friday at midnight :"D...

You guys made me file my return with this thread, I discovered I am getting R7k back. Happiness is me :)....
 
I submitted on Sunday. Had to submit docs. Which I did on Sunday evening. Got paid on Friday.

Before getting paid I got a letter of completion from them on the Wednesday.

I filed Monday morning and submitted my docs an hour later. Got the completion letter on Thursday and Statement of Account yesterday but no money yet.

I suppose we can say 48 hours. Funds are seemingly in but not cleared yet.SARS.PNG

SARS will withold money owed to you until you provide missing info/documents. Same happened for me in 2007. Get in contact with with someone at SARS and they'll let you know why it's still waiting.
 
Submitted on the 2nd, paid on the 3rd July.
 
Did mine Tuesday night around 18:30, money in my account this morning at 6:30.
 
Mines in limbo again, filed and supporting documents on 2013/06/02 - still waiting for some sort of response.

Did the return, 5 minutes later they wanted to PDFs, I uploaded it, 48 hours later the money is in my account.

OT : Sadly I would still like the rest of the tax I paid back cause I am not happy with what I get for it but that is another thread all together.
 
Put my return in on Tuesday at aroudn 8AM and just checked my account and the amount is there as a pending credit so nice turnaround time.

I also changed my banking details with this return, fortunately they paid my money in my new account with no hassles :)
