This sort of thing is simply not possible. Uncontended 512Kb yes. To the tower probably. Perhaps locally, and even locally that's a maybe.

Definately not 512Kb international. This sounds very fly-by-night to me. Buyer beware.
 
You guys make me laugh! You have been ripping off sawireless for a year now! I have their system and guess what?? NO CAP! I can play my games online, download what i want and dont need to worry about a 3Gb cap.There has been problems yes, but nothing that they didn't sort out within a couple of hours. For the past 4 - 5 months their system has been as stable as that of telkom or other providers that I have seen. They may not have fancy offices or landlines, but they get the job done. Strange how people want landlines etc. Many fly-by-night companies had all that.... Try them, if they dont deliver cancel and get a refund. If you think thats too risky, stay on your telkom line but stop "bitching" then! Who else that has found something wrong with them has tried to do what they are doing? Maybe if everybody that has been researching them so intensely, has put their time into researching something that could help the wifi comunity in SA we could have been up to par with the rest of the world? STOP THE MOANING AND START PRODUCING!
 
It seems quite strange that someone that has JUST joined could suddenly start pimping sawireless!
I think that he is the cheepskate who runs it - tryin to attract more victims (my opinion)

IF YOR so cofident in them tell us why they have no landline...why there website is constantly down AND why they have such a HUGE startup fee?

So mini itch, by your standards a person has to be an active member of the forum "click" before you can have your say? very democratic... Like I said , if you dont like it, dont try it, but stop finding fault or do something better. If there is a new company tommorrow that offer what sawireless offers for cheaper, or give a better package I will move to them. Dont mistake what i said for pimping, I am just tired of people moaning and thats where it stays. It's like watching parlament, everybody talks but nothing happens! I am not a telecom or computer expert like 90% plus of people on this forum, but I wish I was, then i could contribute in the fight against the monopoly of telkom. You guys have the knowledge and understanding to change things but yet you fight among each other, that was the point I was trying to prove!

Are you using www.transtel.co.za a leased line, www.datapro.co.za or a direct R30 000 a month satelite link? Icasa can't do a thing against you so there is no reason to keep anything secret.
This forum in my humble view is now being abused and used by fraudsters.
