Sumfing strange... can download full speed (and I mean its constant - flying), but web pages are slow...

will just have to try out COD-MW2 later... holding thumbs.

This is my first day with screamer and man it's slow....pages are loading fine but downloading is averaging 2-10kb
 
Everything has just come to a standstill...... Can't believe I am paying R 400 for dialup....
 
Browsing is damn slow.. but downloading speed are almost at full tilt...
 
using my phone to post this because my internet isnt working! Rebooted my router last night so that i could get a public ip but since the reboot nothing is working.

is it just me or are you guys having similar problems?

Yep, the public ip thing works, downloads seem to "chug along" , but browsing [and anything requiring some sort of client-server response] is pretty much dead.

I think uploading speeds/stability are in the gutter.

Well in my case, before these changes my IP (as seen on the router) started with 10.xxx.xxx.xxx , now it starts with 41.xxx.xxxx.xxx (which is similar to what you get with Telkom ISP)
 
This is really pathetic - it seems like every weekend things go wrong.
Tried the call centre - i am 1st in line - and no one answers.

Seriously thinking of going to G Connect (especially if they carry on the BB pass) - R 389 for 27 gigs.

Cannot browse, cannot download - what the hell can i do?

Screamer reps: how about some updates.
 
Was pretty chuffed yesterday with my new IP, seems the weekend has brought speeds to a grinding halt. Pity, cause I was looking forward to some gaming this weekend. Apart from that, I throttled my torrents to a max of 7kb/s last night and got away with downloading just over a gig of stuff, so I'm sitting on the fence. Seems that browsing speeds are suffering a lot-a lot. Anyone else experiencing similar?
 
browsing is still dead.
just got through to someone on the phone, he said he thinks its the upstream provider. apparently they have a senior technician working on it.
he said he'd phone me back when they find out what the problem is...lets wait and see what happens....
