SEACOM problems may be resolved soon

you know that after reading all these other notifications i can not believe that i have not received one, not one single email from Web Africa!!!!

the only ones i have seen are the ones on their website, but those state that "they are aware of the problems & Saix technicians are attending to the problem"

frak, !!!! do they really know whats happening>??? i think we know more than them!!!!

Doesn't WebAfrica use SAIX? I was using WebAfrica pre-paid yesterday and speeds were flying.

as i said before pre paid is SAIX!! their uncapped accounts are on I.S!!! therefore SEA.KUCK.COM

well lets hope they stick to it & the weather stays the same for the repair crew on that ship / ships

sorry dude, just a little stressed after 4 days of no internet!!!! grrrrr :'(:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(

Anyone know whether Cybersmart uses SAIX or IS, and whether they are up or not?

the really expensive ones are normally SAIX eg 80 or 60 bucks per gig would be but 15-30 bux would be I.S

None of the above. They buy their bandwidth directly from an international supplier (TATA) via SAT-3 and they have been up through this whole problematic time.

They should also have redundancy via Seacom towards the end of the month with another IPC in JHB so things are looking really good ;)

Latency issue they had earlier seems to be resolved so you can now expect latency in the region of about 215ms to the UK and 225ms to the US
