Not really; the DM should create the setting and keep things interresting.

Would love to run / play in another campain - single parent with 2 young kids... no time unfortunately.I've never tried it, I'd be quite keen to give it a go

Not quite the same, but you can DM and participate in dnd-esque campaigns via Divinity Original Sin 2. Have a look at a couple of YouTube videos to get a feel for it.
For those that don't know dnd, there are a bunch of YouTube videos on it. Really enjoyed critical role, Force Grey, Drunks and Dragons, True Adventurers. There's also a couple of sub reddits if you want something to read.
Not invested in dnd myself, due to time and schedule constraints, but would love to participate in a short/pickup campaign some day.

Our group is looking for a new player or two to join us. We play Ars Magica, Pathfinder, DnD, WoD and occasionally others. Usually Saturday evenings, Brackenfell (Northern Subs).

Hey All, I am a transplant from The US and a pretty Avid D&D player- we had adventurers league in the US but looks like it doesn't quite exist in the same capacity here so im hopeful about getting into a group or two! im coming from muizenberg and play 5th edition..

There is a group, headed up by the owner of Postnet Plattekloof.. they even play games inside the shop after business hours, usually on Saturdays. That's a good starting point since its quite a bunch of them crammed into the store.

Hi there, never played any TRPG's before but would really like to start and learn to play. Would love to find a cool group playing DnD that could show me the ropes. Preferably in the northern suburbs in and around the Brackenfell, Bellville and Durbanville area (everyone has to be feeling those petrol prices). Haven't got any of the gear yet but I'll get the essentials soon enough.
