Sexuality a choice?

I'm waiting for the double post saying, "Me too." :D

j/k Teraside - not meaning to make fun of your situation at all, simply of the thoughts these posts bring to mind. God bless.

It's cool Raithlin ;)

Most people think being schizophrenic means you've got a split or multiple personality, but that's not even close to what it is, MPD (multiple personality disorder) is an illness on it's own. It's just Hollywood movies like Me, Myself and Irene that most people watch and assume because Jim Carrey said he was a schizo that all people are that way.

I know you didn't mean that though, but for education purposes I'm clarifying. Schizophrenia to me is more that I live in a reality that does not align with normal behaviour. In my reality I believe things and do things that is completely off base and won't be accepted in the norm :p

sexual abuse can cause a lot of problems in ones own mind.. My motto however is that i wont let "him" the abuser/rapist have the final say on my life.. I lay my burdens on Jesus :)

Having said that we all still sometimes struggle with sexuality whether we are straight or gay.. Not only because of abuse but because of rejection and many other experiences both good and bad..

One word. WOMEN. :D

OK, admit this line of talk is going nowhere. Look, I don't have any issues with gays per se, except if they become "in your face, drag queen type". That makes me pull a sour face. That's all.

now why on earth would a drag queen type be in your face? mmm???

as for missing out on women - AHM... No! I'd rather jump off a cliff before i sleep with another women...

just shows you how big a part society plays ........ a lot of gay men seem to have at least tried to be with a women but how many straight guys have tried to be with another guy.

Point taken, and yes, I was misinterpreting the meaning. Thanks for clarifying.

/Goes off to do some research...

That would mean that I (A man living with Bipolar) could be Schizophrenic too...Should I burst through the ceiling with a manic episode for long enough and start suffering from delusions of grandure, then I too would be living an alternate reality and be considered "Schizo"...I have lived in these manic states and done things that would be considered "abnormal" and anti-social...Its like being a different person...Then when I'm not manic i deal with my ADHD...thats a whole different personality altogether...:D

Me too...but...its also become commonplace to meet a gay person every day...soon the tide might turn and we will be the "uncommon" ones...:)

don't mind if that were the case .......... gay friends are often the better friends to have sometimes anyway :D

That's gonna be a little bit of a problem for continuation of the species. Also difficult to support the gay chromosome theory :D

/me mixes bipolar with a bit of borderline personality disorder and a sprinkling of addiction for flavour :p

People will do anything - especially those in show / entertainment business - to gain attention. As for sexual choice ? It must be. I don't believe that anyone is 'born' that way.

Well i guarantee you there are way more "Attention Seekers" in the str8 community, its not just the entertainment business that has them!
