<Shard> is Recruiting

Funnily enough my Raid Leader and I were chatting about Raid sizes the other day since both of us used to Raid 40man content pre-BC.
When BC was announced everyone was horrified at the move to 25 man raids and yet now when I look back I can't understand why we needed 40 people to Raid or even fathom what a mammoth task it must have been to get enough people online regularly.

Odd Groups go left, even groups go right, thats 1,3,5,7 left, 2,4,6,8 right....

Now I want you to dps slowly....

I like the way Wotlk is moving to 10/25 man content with improved loot in the bigger raids. Gives smaller guilds a chance to progress without all the bs of getting too large too quickly and inheriting 100 twits in the process

Yeah I agree. Don't get me wrong, I love 25man Raids but finding 25 correct people who are all prepared to read strats, not stand in fire, etc is a lot harder then finding 10 people.

It's just as well, or so many raid healers would be out of a job.

a good example can be ZA vs SSC? learning tactics is alot easier in 10mans...

Imo its overall alot easier doing 10man than 25man. I prefer the epic feeling of taking down Rag with 39 other people imo  I guess 25mans have that epic feel now-a-days

Not really. Rag imo still > any 25man boss I've fought thus far. Maybe in later BT or Sunwell things change.

I think my favourite raid in BC is still Karazahn. It's huge. It's long. There's lots of bosses. Varied trash. It might be lulfarm material now but back in the day fighting the likes of Curator and Nightbane in our blues was epic.
I'm really hoping there's more like KZ in WotLK.

Maybe if the Firelord could actually move instead of standing impotently while 40 people simply walk around him, I'd be more impressed.

Legendary weapons > some fire minions.

hmmm, i wonder... are there any south african alliance guilds on TH?

The Dude whos screaming on vent is Dives/Wipe club and they rerolled to boulderfist alliance, i rerolled horde there. Aparantly hes still screaming away. Good times :D

@TheShogun how do you find managing 25 ppl for a raid, I find it somewhat similar to herding cats

*retarded cats with ADD

We tried our hand at managing 2 40 man PUG raid groups.

WELL NOW...

That was rather ... interesting. We attempted to p00n Orgrimmar and after an epic fail we went on to TB ... we managed to get to the boss but someone tipped off half the server's lvl 70 horde and we met some resistance.

Everyone had their own idea and it was a leeeeetle tough convincing them not to be douchebags and stick to the group.

One thing that WAS cool though was how (after both raid groups were taken out at the gates of Org.) we had a synchronized respawn right between the horde. Now THAT was cool :D

The 5fps caused by all the activity also hampered my style somewhat.

Pug Raids tend to be chaos in general because lack of guild ties, etc means everyone can just do their own thing.
