Why not change to afrikaans. Imagine watching a game on mute. LoL - that must be dreadful not hearing the crowd oooooh and aaaaaaah

Because I is a Engelsman. And we have 25 people at my place so there were sufficient oooohs and aaaahs...

We also felt the ref had a shocker but it doesnt take away from the fact that the Sharks played their most aweful game of the S14 to date! Aweful team selection, appears to be aweful preparation and an aweful performance. I am really dissapointed with their shocking performance today.

The only players to actually have a decent game were Brad Baritt, Tendai Mtawawira and Steyn didnt mae his usual mistakes and got over the advantage line most of the time.

Sharks played like the Stormers did last week, at least the Stormers managed to win.
Crusaders woulda whipped them anyway.

And HOLY MARTHA, if I have to listen to another Aussie commentator within my lifetime it will be too soon. We watched the second half on mute and provided our own commentary! The Tahs crowd were pretty aweful as well when it came to the line-outs and Steyn's penalty. It happens in SA too but they took it overboard!

I love Aussie commentators. They're hilarious and nowhere near as biased as the New Zealanders

Sucks that Muir had more of his mind on the Boks than he did on the Sharks, wtf was he thinking 'experimenting' with useless players in a semi anyway! .... I heard rumours that he and AJ had a falling out? Man I'm sick of these Sharks coaches thinking they're everything and a packet of chips. I just hope Plumtree doesn't take the same route

Hmmm let's see if we can remember which South African team was the only one to make the semis this year?

Ummm.... I know it started with an S..... but which one was it?

Hmm.... oh yeah, wait it was the Sharks!!! The same team that made the final last year...

Alf, feel free to speak again when your team makes the semis!! :)

Are you sure that is Muir's doing? Or is it the Natal rugby union?

"It did not help us to lose AJ Venter an hour before kickoff because of a thumb injury as that limited our lineout options," Muir said. "We then gambled on Epi Taione, figuring that he might be an ace up our sleeve and that he could give us some momentum and counter the power of their back three," Muir said.

"It did not come off. Perhaps the lack of match practice and fitness took its toll (the Tongan has barely played in eight weeks) and I take responsibility for that call."

One wonders what the full situation was with Venter. Conspiracy theorists might wonder if he was making a silent protest after being told that he would not be offered a contract for the Currie Cup and next year's Super 14, forcing him to sign a contract for that period with Western Province and bringing to an unfortunate end his nine-year career with the Sharks.

Here's the Sharks who made the Springbok squad ............. I can't believe that Botes and Barrit have been left out again  And poor Kockott, after playing like a champ this season .... :(

The 11 Sharks added to national squad: BJ Botha, Bismarck du Plessis, Adrian Jacobs, Ryan Kankowski, Beast Mtarirawa, Johann Muller, Waylon Murray, Odwa Ndungane, Ruan Pienaar, JP Pietersen, Frans Steyn

I'm just glad Ryan is back in it again, would be great to see him in the Tri Nations. Ruan Pienaar & Steyn had a terrible season in my books. :(

We stripes have lost a lot of players to the Springboks for tomorrows game, but should still have the talent to beat the Renegades.... sorry Sharks!
Anyway the biggest games tomorrow in the Cape are Wynberg vs SACS and Rondebosch vs Bishops.
