Should you get the iPhone 4S next week?

I think I've probably got as much mileage out of my 3g as I'm going to get.

Stand in line....:p

Are those Apples or Melons ? and what version ...

The short answer: No
The long answer: No, it's a total piece of ****. Get an Android
Meh. Don't really get the hype around Android. I've used the best Android devices. It's a nice OS. The web browsing on iOS just operates much faster, smoother and renders better. The apps are also way better. But each to his own.

You mean the web browsing on iOS is faster cause it doesnt load Flash content? And by apps being better, you mean more expensive? :-P

Sent from a Galaxy far, far away....

You guys need to get better jobs so you can afford nice things when they come out, instead of having to resort to using cheap crap like Android and pretend that it's better.

Lol check this troll out.

I've got an iphone 4 and Nexus One, which is ancient, and though the iphone is definitely smoother, the Nexus One still kicks it ass. The iPhone frustrates me, coming from Android, you really feel how limited iOS is. This is from a "techie" point of view though. My mum loves the iPhone lol

This is from a "techie" point of view though.

A real "techie" would jailbreak and customize the cra p out of the iPhone. The "wannabe techie's" flash already cooked custom roms on their rooted droids using clockworkmod... :p

It seems that people can't have a reasonable discussion anymore regarding ios/android without fanboys from either side derailing things :(

So then...? Are you getting an iPhone 4S next week or not???

No. Hopefully getting my Galaxy Note early Jan. As an android user I'm just getting tired of all the Apple bashing. It's as bad as arguing religion. I do own android and apple devices. They all have their place, although I can't agree with Apple's business practices.

Isn't there like a shortage on stock for the iPhone 4? Last I heard a lot of Vodacom branches couldn't get their story straight if they had any stock or not...

I rate it would be sweet to get an iPhone 4 on a cheap contract, for +- R300 p/m I won't care much if a newer one comes out.

Indeed. There should be a law that states you cannot comment on any device unless you've used it (in full production) for at least 2 weeks. That includes reviews by tech sites as well ;)

Most of this fanboi-ismn sees to come from people who've never actually used the devices they're so quick to comment on.

I use both Apple (iPhone 4 & iPad) and Android (Galaxy SII, Note and the new Nexus) and use them all in full production.

Both eco-systems have their place.

This bashing the one or the other speaks more to the maturity of the posters than the suitability of either device.

Wow, a discussion about the iPhone 4S and people start trolling about about Android.
Classy

The topic is "should you get an iphone 4s" and forumites are giving their honest opinions. Is that now considered trolling, or did you learn a new word on the internet and trying to impress us?
