Been a while, so I thought that I'd post my current setup using Aviate:

Homescreen:


Downward swipe when on home screen:


Leftward swipe from home screen (Spaces panel):


Second screen (right swipe):


App list (second swipe to the right):



Better than Themer and Buzz IMO. All apps within the Collections panels are interchangeable and user-configurable. You also get a larger selection of Collections to choose from, than the ones I have shown here.

The Spaces panel defines what appears when you perform a downward swipe on the homescreen, so it changes depending on the selected Space (mine is selected as Work, for example).

I just need to set up a matching lockscreen, which I will post once that is completed...

Thanks. Funny enough, it is more or less stock Aviate, with the icons shuffled around... Will see how long it appeals to me. I'm not too pleased with the non-resizeable widgets, but it's bearable...

MMy current Screen setup thanx to BigAl-sa's app recommendation of Smart Launcher:


Home Screen, using JB theme.


App tray, you need to swipe from left to right on home screen to get apps tray and it auto sort the categories.

I have added a option for Email to open when sliding from right to left as well.

Edit: Ok it gets better, it can even use Icon sets from other launchers.... just applied ICS Icon set for ADW and now my Gingerbread looks a little closer to a current phone



Edit 2: Now this is cool, Smart Launcher is the 1st launched ever that has full Xperia Play controller support. Not even Sony got this one right.

Whats the easiest way to get text like folders? So far im doing it with MinimalisticText to create a text widget, then overlapping that with a nova folder with no folder icon.

Does the trick but seems very clunky..

Simple Text Widget should work.

I tried that but only managed to create icons and not widgets. This is what in working on

Yes, it was meant to create icons. If you have created a folder in Nova, you should be able to replace the icon with the one you created using the Simple Text Widget.

Another option is to use the SiMi Folder Widget.

Moved over to stock 4.3 and decided to give my home screen a new look and feel. It is a Homescreen Buzz theme with a few customisations...
