Beware the Cell C sim cards. They seem to fail a lot (mine in less than a month) and a R150 a pop which is like 3 times the price of Vodacom's sim cards which don't fail. Maybe Cell C have discovered a new revenue stream, I don't know.

When I signed up for VodaCom last year, I only managed to avoid the R200 sim fee because I already had a prepaid sim card, which ironically cost me R1.

You know when they can sell something for R1 that R200 is a total rip.

I still need to follow up, but the SIM SWOP is suppose to be less than R50 bucks but the stores rip us off with R150. Gotta do a SIM swop and refuse to pay the R150 (the phone was stolen)

The reason they charge R150 is because you cannot say no. So hopefully if everyone who has to bend over and get an anal inspection from cell c complains they will drop the fee on the stupid things.

Hi encrypted

Some stores charge more than others for the SIM Card but the standard rate is R84.00 you can email us on [email protected] and we will send you a SIM Card.

Cell C

Well theres some information, not very helpful tho. It's too late anyways, I already took the anal probe. Can stores not be forced to charge standard pricing, they are Cell C franchises after all.

I'm sorry? If your SIM card is faulty, why are they charging you for a replacement?

I've had a virgin sim fail on me three times in a row, and every time I was not charged for a replacement.

Theres no VALID reason to charge anything. But a small fee is acceptable. R150, no, R84, no, R62 (Vodacom), no. I would call the upper limit R20.

I agree if the problem is on their end why should you have to pay for it
