Skype 4 Proxy configuration

Hi there.

I upgraded to skype 4 a while ago.

At home using my adsl I have no problems.
Now at work, I dont know how to get to the config screen to enter my proxy details.

It just says signing in and never stops.
I dont have option to cancel rather the option is to quit.

In 3.8 i configured the proxy and it worked fine from work.

ANy advice will be greatly appreciated.

Does tools>advanced>connection not help?

Cant do that.

Everything is greyed out except accessibility which is irrelevant.
Connection is greyed out.

select HTTPS from drop down and see if that works--I am also behind a proxy and just tested, works here.

Depending on your user privileges you could also try installing drivers & connecting your cellphone as a modem to your pc. Go online, login to skype, change your proxy settings and go back to the LAN connection.

Sorry for suggesting something that would naturally not work. As the prev poster said, check if you have admin rights.

What does not make sense, the prev version of SKYPE you could set the proxy--this new version you can't--so admin rights may not be the issue. Did you try posting on the SKYPE forums for help, they are quite helpful,

Any suggestions are welcome.

Yeah I do have admin rights. I set the proxy in google talk etc and certain games which I installed.

I might revert to skype 3.8 if it does not work.

When I go home and use my adsl there, it is perfect and I can see all the menu options you guys have mentioned above.

Maybe I will just reinstall 4 first.
