Skyworth Binge Android TV box

Managed to finally get into the settings. leave ethernet connected and rebooted like 6 times and settings opened and reset it.

Looks like it's up now. I even ended up opening the thing up to see if there is a reset button on the inside.

Finally fed up with this box.

Decided to get an android tv stick for R799. "Powered by Skyworth"

Let's see how it goes so far so good.

Not familiar with that stick - let us know how it work out.

Happy with the Xiaomi Mi 4K TV Streaming Stick - running it in the lounge, and it just works, and the Wifey abuses it hard, and no complaints.

So I am chuffed.

I wanted to wait for Black Friday but this stick and the netology box was on special and in stock at incredible so I couldn't wait for Black Friday the lag on my current skyworth made it impossible to watch any series.

Seems to be similar to the Xiaomi stick we have at home, so I expect you should get many hours of viewing out of it. Ours has paid for itself over and over.⁷

Update on this Android Stick.

Wow. Fast and really good streaming performance overall. Zero issues since I got it even streaming 60GB remux files on stremio without any issues. Can run wireguard without any issues and copy my configs to it no problem. Casting to it from any app works flawless.

Basically exactly like my Skyworth before they bricked it with their update.

Hi

Was never an issue but the last month or so, I get an error "No wifi connection" even thou my wifi is on, it doesnt show any available networks, I need to restart before the available networks shows again and only then I'm able to connect again.

It is almost as the Wifi adapter stops working until I restart the TV box.

Anyone else maybe had the same issue?

Looks like I will also have to get a stick, or go find my Telkom TV Box somwhere in storage.
