Smallest flash drive

What's the point of such a small flash drive??
maybe if u on like a spy mission but i still don't see why you need such a small drive..
What if you lose it?? It probably costs more for being so small..
A waste IMO....

The size of existing flash drives means they get lost, making it smaller isn't going to really increase this imho.
It's a technology thing though, people always want more power/storage for smaller size, so they're just following the same trend as the rest of the world.
Portability is king and they look like they're winning.

They are indeed small, but I am not willing to pay that much more for a smaller form factor. I recently got a 16 GB drive for R 700...still fits nicely into my pocket :)

Somebody in another thread said they wanted such a small one to fit on their key ring. Makes sense.

Well if you wanted to use it for readyboost on your vista notebook, would you want a fat flash drive sticking out the back of your notebook or would you want something small you could leave in? Also small and cute sits well with the ladies. I got my SO a Kingston Migo a while ago and she loves it, mainly because it's really small and fitted into her handbag :)

Bought one of the 4Gb Atom drives in Dubai a month ago. They are very neat, but I'm not too sure about having no cover for the USB plug. That's bound to become filled with pocket-grime over time.

(ooh, it's a rhyme! hope it's not a linguistic crime)

I've got an 8GB flash drive that is 5x13x40mm in dimension, so it's not exactly that much bigger than this Atom flash drive (only a marginal 0.3mm wider and 0.2mm longer).

Meh - I have a Transcent 4GB drive (the black one with the green stripe). It's small - if you leave the lanyard off - small enough to fit nicely into that completely random pocket that features on every pair of jeans I have ever encountered. (The little one in your right-front pocket.)

Because it's so portable, it lives in that pocket.

It *has* been through the wash several times and continues to work perfectly. I doubt the "bare USB connector" types would survive the washing machine treatment.

I couldn't ask for a more perfect device and I only paid R 150.00 for it.

(Ok.. Transcends 8GB version of the same (also black, different coloured stripe) would be nice.)
