Smart light switches

If anybody looking for 3 way smart switches. I have 2 spare Treatlife ones available. They work via Tuya Smartlife app.

Installed 2 x 2 gang qualitel smart switches. Ennerdale Builders has stock. And cheaper than Qualitel who doesn't have stock.
Hi Adielk, I might be interested , thanks where you situated

It has a light thats is on when switch is off. One can still switch on and off manually. Satisfying click switch.

Pity my normal wifi Qualitel switches have touch switches. Not quite same but does at least have a "click" sound.

Good thread here.... really helped me a lot.

I'm considering replacing all switches in the house with smart switches and any advice would be appreciated. I will be pulling neutrals wherever it is not available already. My requirements as follows:

  1. Physical momentary switch - I do not like the sonoff style touch panels, want something with physical feedback when pressing. Can someone confirm that VETI2 switches are definitely momentary? Any other nice looking momentary switches in 2x4 and 4x4 format?
  2. Prefer a mini relay unit in the wall box behind a dumb toggle switch, as opposed to fully integrated switches like Sonoff T1
  3. I do not want Wifi switches. I have invested in a few other devices with zwave on smartthings, so building out the zwave mesh is preferred over wifi (also much less complicated to transfer custody when selling the house). But as a last resort, wifi is not a dealbreaker.
  4. Would like to have a uniform look at all switches in the house. (1 gang, 2,3,4 gang etc, 2x4, 4x4 etc). If I install VETI2 switches everywhere, even on dumb lights, how will they switch on/off (if the VETI2 is truly momentary)?
  5. 2-way and dimmers are not the immediate concern. I can handle them at a later time.
Appreciate the inputs!

I want to replace my 2 gang Qualitel with a Moes 2 gang switch.

But different sizes, so not sure Moes will fit?

Qualitel is Switch Dimensions: 120 x 74 x 39mm.

Moes Product Dimensions 120 x 119 x 36mm

Anybody know if it will fit?

Spent the evening configuring a sonoff gate switch and two radio 2 pole wall switches ( no neutral, 433Mhz with capacitor). And sonoff radio hub. Good to go for actual installation into circuits tomorrow.

For these from geewiz, not bad price wise.

I feel that fitting a capacitor almost same effort as pulling a neutral wire?

Thus my interest in above broadlink switches.

Hardly, a simple cap at one of the light points per switch is much more accessible in a old house than creaking through the ceiling, wiring a cable and drawing it through a conduit to a switch point.

Don't get me wrong, I still would like to do it one day as the radio switch works but it doesn't display state and is reliant on the pulse reaching the socket. My wifi Sonofs that are near plug sockets are more intelligent. My point here was to have certain wall switches done and really just to set it as day/night because one pole on each controls an external light circuit to light my garden/surrounds. Those lights had day night globes which are R100 a pop.

The gate motor was cool though, very cheap (200) and simple wiring. Got a d5 evo and originally was installing a gsm classic2 which is a cellular module but this is far cheaper than that AND cheaper than replacing the motor with a D5 EVO Smart.

On the broadlink, when I purchased the above, they never mentioned the cap. I know the others do but if you look at the store listing, not mentioned and nothing in the image indicates a need. When it came I just thought, f### it, how hard can it be.

You sure about those broadlinks not requiring a cap?

*edit* I see it really doesn't but the cost is quite high from Amazon and I see ubay has it but a 2 gang is R600. For multiple switches, cheaper to have a sparky draw wire to all points once off I think.

Yep my preference is neutral wires but sometimes the conduits are full.

Currently have only 4 switches with neutral. Need at least another 3 switches to have neutrals pulled.

Other switches are weird switches where normal smart switches cannot be placed. So using smartlife tuya bulbs.

Means having to pay almost R200 a replacement bulb!

PS! Anybody with a source for cheap wifi smartbulbs?
