Smartphone data usage in SA revealed

115MB for March, but using gConnect 3g instead of Vodacom.

The only reason its that high is because I was in hospital for 2 days, usually it does not exceed 50mb because I use my ADSL/Wifi.

I know many people who got the iphone 4 "cause it's cool" and only ever use the camera, have almost no apps and still try look down at me.

Let me get this straight, people still use networks for data?
What's the matter, too dumb to setup wifi?

Actually some of us use WiFi the other way around. Don't like to carry my ADSL line to the beach oh wait I can't.

1gb
(youtube/facebook/app's) for mobile.Knocked 250mb on youtube with just the weekly sub vids.hey if u got 3G why nt use hq?

Where is no ADSL, there is no need to be online.

Tell that to 90% of the farmers, or even townships not to even mention people that rent and don't want to pay installation costs for phone lines for someone elses property.

It's people like you that keeps us in the dark ages.

I think 2GB is the prime number for mobile data usage, you can youtube, and dl apps, browse fairly properly without having to worry too much about data, the 75mb i have per month is ONLY for fb and gmail, i synch everything else when im at home/varsity on wifi. otherwise i would easily chow 1gig a month

Andriod eats bandwidth so I cap my data at 20MB cos its too expensive!!!

750MB in March on WiFi

i easily go through 1GB a in a few weeks time.:)

Don't feed the idiot trolls who are sadly looking for attention!

and the data prices is still way to expensive
drop the prices and the usage will increase
What's the point? At lower prices but higher usage who stands to lose? The service providers or the customers? Go figure!
