Yes that's a good quote at this point in time. It was about par a year ago...would you guys say this is a good quote:
8kw Deye inverter with wifi
2 * 5.12kwh shoto batteries
10 * 545w panels
within installation and materials for R180k

and what time are the batteries charged? That's about on-par with recent quotes I did as well. I chose to go with 8 panels instead of 10 in this scenario for 2 reasons, apparently it's better to do 8 panels per string (safer) and for R180k (plus minus) I opted to go with Sunsynk 8kw inverter and 2 x Sunsynk batteries (nothing wrong with Deye and Shoto but Sunsynk support is better locally from what I hear and you get a 10 year warranty instead of 5. Plus these Sunksynk batteries discharge at 1C vs 0.5C). So I sacrificed 2 panels to go with Sunsynk for the same price. The view is that I can always add another string of 8 later down the line and possibly a 3rd battery.
Hard to answer as my panels were only installed this morning and it has been overcastand what time are the batteries charged?
That's a difficult one to answer. Depends on the weather, how much I've used, loadshedding etc.and what time are the batteries charged?
Maybe the better question is what is your SOC at sunrise, then fully charged in sunny weather. I know now is not the time to ask as it's still new and weather and LS is bad..That's a difficult one to answer. Depends on the weather, how much I've used, loadshedding etc.

So tomorrow morning SOC will be 10%?It looks like on average my SOC goes down to around 55 by sunrise and is then fully charged by around 10:30.
With today being so rainy it's currently sitting on 65 and it's about the highest it's been today.
No, I think it's set to take power from Eskom to get it to 100%.So tomorrow morning SOC will be 10%?
Play around with these settings to maximise your generation capacity and reduce your consumption from the grid, for summer I am comfortable with 40% SOC%/V grid for the whole 24 hours. I found that only early mornings I might be under 40% , if there was loadshedding and if I was running the aircon. Lowest I have been is 38%. So find out what works for you.No, I think it's set to take power from Eskom to get it to 100%.

Um I'm not entirely sure what that is. They did redo my whole db board. I can take a photo of that? Please show pics of earth bond relay/box.
Can they give you a coc without this?
Why such a huge box for a little relay? Surely it can just go inside the inverter?View attachment 1473839

Yes, many installers do not understand how a hybrid inverter works, they will issue it wiithot breaking a sweat.
Some do that, some prefer to do it properly. Why such a huge box for a little relay? Surely it can just go inside the inverter?
