Someone please provide knowledge to this child

GUYS PLEASE BE CAREFUL. REMEMBER THAT THIS FORUM AND IT'S OWNERS ARE IN BED WITH THE PROVIDERS. IF THEY SEE THIS THREAD IT MIGHT BE DELETED TO KEEP THIS KNOWLEDGE AWAY FROM THE PUBLIC

One of you is deliberately misleading me. Which one of you is working for Apple?

We're saying the same thing. Read it again. Older phones will certainly be cheaper, on condition that you don't perform a firmware update. Once you do, you're stuffed...

As described above, it's almost impossible to prove. Legislation needs to be implemented for a system of accountability.

Yeah its very difficult i know what you're saying.

If you don't do the update, its a minimal charge (but a charge nonetheless).

If you update the firmware, then you're in for a world of hurt.

Oh here we go with the conspiracies again. I've only ever seen one Apple advert here and that was an ad for Core. Are you saying that there is a core problem with Core?

Ah OK. Will have to dig out my 3310. I knew about this, but now really thinking it through I'd rather go through the inconvenience of having a non-current phone than giving these bastards one more cent of my money than they deserve.

You think all the iPads rpm gives away are just charity from Apple? You're so naveii.

For those of you using the galaxy phones (or any android phone for that matter) Download the "Flappy Calls" app. It fluctuates pricing during calls. All you have to do is keep tapping the back of the phone during a call.

This proves NOTHING!

Show me your proof that my proof is wrong! You can't do it. I challenge you...

Guys lets stay focused here! The main question still stands. Is it more expensive to make a phone call from Apple (someone also added Samsung) other than nokia and blackberry?

I've heard of that, does it really work?

No to call you out or anything...

In regards to data being router to heaven and back to earth, how do they do it? I mean imagine how many people make a phone call at the same time? So with the growing number in sales how do they manage this with their hardware and even transmitting from SA to USA then back to my buddie on the other end of the line (in real time).

I am just looking to gain some knowledge based on what you know already.

The very same way that ~7.1 billion internet users are actively connected to the internet, packets via routing. When it comes down to transmitting your voice call it is exchanged into data, making it easier to compress etc. going through protocols blah blah, it gets really technical here. How they manage this with hardware, ahem, search for arguments with jannievanzyl.

Ask the mods to add a poll.

Guys who is a developer here? If you are make sense of this logically? I am not yet an android developer (will be by end of this year) but to me it makes no sense what so ever.

Shorter list is who isn't a developer here.

So far so good hey. Before I made a call I had R315 airtime. The next day I checked and I had R630 airtime!!!!

Proof please! We want solid proof. So how do these money hungry networks not realise they are losing money from such apps?

Just out of curiosity
