Sonic Wireless

Is it just me or is there latency issues with d3 again? Mine jumps between 280~1000ms (mostly in the 500ms) these past few days...

I don't play D3 but do play WOW on EU, no issues on my end [Bothasig area] latency stable at 172ms pretty much all the time for me.
 
Anybody on Sonic in Rugby/Milnerton/Tijgerhof area? Any idea where the nearest high site is?
 
Hi Guys,

after having read all these great reviews, I have decided to try out Sonic Wireless (the 5Mbps package). I had issues with Telkom, cable theft and over-billing etc. I reside in Khayelitsha and thankfully, I have coverage. I made my application on Monday and the lady I spoke with (Sherne) said I'll get a call in about 48hrs to schedule a site survey and if that's successful I should expect the installation to take place in about 10 days thereafter.

So I'm really hopeful and trying to stay positive because the last time I had Internet was in January 2015... yes, an entire year without BF4, Gut-Wrenching!

If nothing happens in the next two days, Adriaan please expect a mail from me. Cross fingers for me guys!
 
mine was installed in Table View yesterday, 5mbps package and Netflix works like a charm.

one little quirk i had is that they left the Wireless on the mikrotik open, but after giving support a call they quickly disabled the wireless (i have my own AP's setup)

A very friendly gentleman came through this morning for a site survey.. turns out that I'm only 1km away from their tower. So he said I should get a call early next week to schedule installation. I'm stoked!
 
Today I received more information about my application. Turns out my signal strength is -57. I'm not exactly sure what that means... I wasn't there when the technician was doing the survey. I'm hopeful that by the end of this week I will have 5Mbps uncapped internet.
 
Having major issues from 7pm tonight constant dcs and no international connectivity has been on going for 2 hours without any improvements

Yup, got an email just now about international issues.
 
Gave them a call, apparently they are having major international problems at the moment, working on it.
 
Seems resolved now they seem to have only noticed the issue @9pm or only then decided to let clients know
 
They've scheduled the installation for tomorrow morning. I'll be sure to post results of my speed test.
 
So the sector i connected on just vanished while i was gaming without a hint of trouble just poof gone and it being Sunday means no support or feedback :( so will be without decent internet till Monday or whenever they decide to fix the issue
