Nope I dont believe there is. The cover that I found and bought does allow charging but via usb and not the dock.
 
A lot (all) of numbers and currency is underlined in my sms messages. Anyone figured out how to remove this feature. Google doesn't seem to offer any help :confused:
 
I saw an article on GSMarena saying that the XperiaZ is getting Android 4.3 update sometime in November :)
 
I see the 4.3 update has arrived. Anyone updated yet? Is it worth it?

Xperia T and V updates went live yesterday. BUT I believe it may take awhile to be released locally especially with Vodacom. I mean 4.3 was released Dec 2013 for tablet Z and still it is not available on my Tab Z. Thats just ridiculous. I believe the Xperia Z update also took very long as I recently read on Sony ZA Facebook page people asking whEn the 4.3 update wil be released for their Z when it was already released December last year!

I flashed a generic Nordic Rom on my Z and get updates within 3-5 days after release (and there is no bloatware) and received the 4.3 update before christmas last year. Considering doing the same on my tablet z and my girlfriend's Xperia V. Waiting for Vodacom to release the Sony updates is just annoying.

Oh and I absolutely enjoy the 4.3 update for Xperia Z, made me fall inlove all over again with this phone lol. I bet Kitkat will be even better!!

Did the generic update on my P love it get updates almost immediately

Phone and PC Companion both say - "your s/w is up to date"
 
I havent updated yet to 4.3

Can those who have, provide feedback on performance of battery and the camera?
 
Camera much the same mine is rooted Xperia Xposed app adds a lot of mods. Battery about the same.

Battery is more or less the same. Still easily lasts me the entire day and more...I'm tempted to say there is an increase in battery performance....maybe the stamina mode is more efficient.

Regarding the camera...still not that amazing with Superior auto...If you want good looking photos rather use Manual Mode. Might take some getting used to and playing around but once you've got the hang of it you will be able to take pretty decent looking photos!! DOnt understand why Superior auto is so *****.....

4.3 also brings complete UI overhaul which I find somewhat refreshing and the phone feels so damn smooth!!! Project butter I guess. One of my favourite features of the new UI is being able to open multiple/unlimited amounts of small apps.

All and all I think Sony did a good job with this update and almost made my Z feel new.

PS. there is another update out for bug fixes version .101
