I love how you put the P8 in that list. That's a bit like saying I can have Golf GTI for under a mill so why am I paying over a mill for a Porsche 911.

There's nothing wrong with a P8 and it does compete with these phones. Specs are a little bit lower and so is the price to make up for that

I found this review http://www.pocket-lint.com/review/135068-sony-xperia-z5-review-flagship-foibles

They say the battery is worse than the previous, the heat issue is still there if you try heat with labour intensive apps, the software is slow...

I'm hoping this review doesn't make them out to be worse than they are

Ouch! I trust Pocket-lint though.
The only question is whether that's still a pre-release unit (GSMArena's initial review are often based on prototype review samples which may or may not have quirks VS the standard thing one can get at stores).

SD810s are really the worst thing to happen to the mobile market since ICS's draconian stupidity that tried to put Sandisk out of business.

Never heard of them.

Android authority's review seems a lot more positive. Only overheats with 20mins ofk video recording.

i seem to recall base 6s is 16gb, the z5 is 32gb.

note I seem to recall, cannot remember where. Someone is welcome to research that.
At Cell C on Epic150 the 64 GB iPhone 6s is cheaper than the 32 GB Z5. The 128 GB iPhone 6s is only R20 pm more expenisve than the 32 GB Z5.

This phone is possibly only for the Sony fans.

It's priced higher than the apple phone, because it's better than the apple phone.

What do you have currently?

I bought the Z tablet and Z2 when they came out and turned me into a Sony fan. Looks great, premium feel, quick with great features. I'm not so sure how much IOS makes on a 24mm lens ...
At the moment im rocking a Note 3, but I will be checking out the Z5 this Sunday (hopefully), reviews sometimes don't do a phone justice. Then again if the Z5 isn't my cup of tea, the Z3 may be a better option.

The reports of overheating has put me right off this phone and it was no 1 on my list.
