Sony Z3

Wanted to upgrade to a Z3 compact this past weekend but its way to much money for the phone. Eventually settled for a Z1 compact thats 150 bucks a month cheaper.

I must say this phone's battery life rocks big time. I am not a heavy user but this morning when i activated the sony power management software, the estimated standby time went from 2 1/2 days to 11 days (73% charged). Lordy, i had that kind of standby on a 5110 millions of years ago.

I think this phone will reach 15 days standby with very light usage like me. Have to be tested.

@kaaskop where did you find a Z1 compact? none at MTN...
I need to also upgrade my now gone-slow Xperia V, got it for just about a year now and hoping to get a Z1C cheaper than the Z3C, but not on contract...

Finally had a look at this device. What a beauty- gorgeous screen, impeccable build quality and in-hand feel, and the specs are fantastic.

Hey Guys,

random question, i have heard a lot of people rave about the HD music output of the Z3 but i cannot find any HD music to download. google says HDtracks but i am nervous using my credit card info on a site i know nothing about. anyone had any experience with HDtracks? or know anywhere else i can find HD music?

thanks

Woohoo! I finally received my Z3!

Being a Samsung S3 owner had me frustrated for a while now. This is a FRIGGING HUGE BREATH OF FRESH AIR!!!

This phone is zippy, easy to use and the interface is SO much better - simpler!

I wonder what the Lollipop update will bring - I can't wait. I am glad with my decision - so much so that I ordered another one for my partner!

Question: Where does one get those glass tempered screen protectors from? I have a proper cover now just need the screen protector.

Edit: Nevermind @ screen guard. Got one.

Hi All, I've ordered a Z3 and I'm now having second thoughts due to all the cracked screen reports I've read. Anyone experienced the screen or back glass panel crscking for no reason and have Sony come to the party with regards to repairs? Apparently it's due to a heating problem.

No problem so far and dropped it once (off my shoe onto a corner). Got the flip case now.

I just put my Z3 under water in a jacuzzi the other day without issue at all.

:eek :

I know it's water resistant, I am just too scared. :(
Buddy of mine drowned his Z3 this weekend... :/
Used it in the pool. (heated, but max 30 degrees Celsius) taking pics of the kids, at a depth of half a meter... After 10 minutes, it switched off. And never went back on. You can see water droplets behind camera lens...

Makes me feel a bit nervous to use mine in water now...

Question: did he close all the port holes properly?
