Depends how low you want to go onto the horrible tweeter range. R99 speakers are quite bad, but you should be ok if you look into microlab or similar usb speakers. Of course these will not give you a full sound stage as those mostly begins at the 1k zar range, well when I look at my Edifier replacements the shelve speakers was about R1700-ish and active sub R2500. However... let me se if I still have some of them in my list. Thanks Lupus. Low budget (82 yr old crock) , size no issue, plug in use, not headpones.
Your tip Microlabs ... saw a few stereo speakers USB powered for <R300.
Looks like USB powered is the way to go?
Is 6W okay for classic music? Sterio or multimedia?
I wont bother you with more of my questions.
Ouch for classic music you're going to need to go a bit more then that, you will need to look at R400 or more. Though the Microlabs for R399 I have used them, they play rock reasonably well, but I've relegated them to my sons room. Thanks Lupus.
