Yes, I am a moron. I spilt appletiser on my macbook on Monday. It luckily still works fine. When it happened I quickly cleaned it off and turned it upside down. It's now been 3 days and everything is still totally ok. The only problem is some of the keys are a bit sticky. Do you think I should take it to an istore and have them clean it out inside? Do they do that? Everything works perfectly and all the keys work, just a few of them stick a little. I know if I take it, they will see the liquid residue and void my warranty anyway so whether I take it in now to get cleaned or take it In if something else unrelated happens, they will know and void it regardless. I don't mind paying to get it cleaned up, just wondering If anyone has any experience with this?

How ironic, your Apple Mac is leaking some tiser :D :D :D

Spilling the drink was a small mistake, buying the Mac was a huge one !

Spill some water on it and turn it upside down? If it didn't die from the tiser then the water might remove the sugar.

Is the keyboard removable?

Edit: switch off and do at your own risk ;)

I lol'd, however you should add a disclaimer...
ADD WATER AT YOUR OWN RISK :?

If the keyboard is removable I'd actually do this. Lenovo Thinkpads have a drainage hole at the bottom of the laptop for spills and the keyboard can be removed.

Probably best to use distilled water.

Macbooks and all modern laptops are now designed to handle sticky keyboards.

MS windows been having "sticky keys" for ages...only now Apple catching up...:D

If it was a normal laptop he would have probably spilled Coke on it.

Get a can of co contact cleaner, spry the rubbish away and leave upside down overnight.

Managed to fix it. Just watched a few youtube videos on how to remove the chicklet keys and cleaned the ones that were sticky. all 100% now:)
