Probably start with Lambie, yeah.

Meyer will always pick the big, talented player above the small, talented player.

I like it cause he is picking a big, physical team that should be able to hurt the opposition but sometimes you need a bit of finesse too.

Aplon might not be physically imposing but he doesn't miss many tackles and he will run rings round most defenders!! In fact were some players might be embarrassed when Frans Steyn runs over them, others will be made to look even more foolish tripping over themselves trying to catch Gio.

Danie Gerber was good at making fools out of the opposition defense. Look here. Watch as Danie makes the 14 and 15 crash into each other...

Aplon being (subtly) compared to Gerber! Not sure I like that much...
 
Pretty much whenever the All Blacks or Crusaders play at Newlands.

That is very odd, the last 3 times the crusaders played, I was at the ground and it wasn't more than 10%.
Don't know for sure about the AB game as I wasn't there, but I assume that NZ supporters from all over the country, and from NZ would be there.

All of those games were sold out by the way. i.e.no empty seats.

I wonder if they will consider adding the top layer of seats to increase the stadium capacity to SWC levels?
 
The fact of the matter is some people didn't come to the game, whether it was because of the terrible weather or any other reason. This doesn't mean that we don't support the Springboks and to be honest there weren't that many seats empty. So for the love of god stop arguing now because frankly you don't have much of a leg to stand on.

Yeah, but it may drizzle a teensy bit, and 25% of people who paid over R400 may not go.

Last time I watched rugby in PE, was in 1982 at Boet Erasmus, I take it you have a better stadium now.
 
I do support the Sharks and I do support the Springboks, however your allegiance to the green and gold can quite rightly be called into question.

We do and not only do we do it at our home ground but at every ground in South Africa. I would be so bold as to say we are probably the most widely supported team in SA. There has been many times when I've seen the number of Sharks supporters near to or surpassing that of the Home team.

And what is your esteemed opinion on people who support soccer teams like Liverpool, Barcelona etc...

If I may chip in.... idiots! Most probably can't even point to Barcelona or Liverpool on a map, do not have the remotest link to the city/country and yet they act they are born and bred fans. Oh, until the team starts doing badly then they sell those shirts and buy those of the new flavour of the moment.

I cannot change my allegiance to the Boks or the Sharks. I am a born and bred South African and a born and bred Natalian. I cannot pick my national and provincial teams. I'm sure others do and they too are idiots in my opinion.

My Dad now lives in North West Province and we lived in Gauteng for 10 years from the age of about 6 before returning to Durban. All that time I remained a Sharks/Natal fan. He too is still a Sharks fan. If I (stupidly) moved to the Cape I would still be a Sharks fan.

I am to a born and bred Durbanite but I am now studying at UCT (although I'm back on holiday now) which didn't automatically turn me into a Stormers Supporter.
