Springboks vs England 2012 - 3 Test tour

Lol, what a stupid decision to go for a lineout. You go for poles get within 7 and have time for the kickoff, instead of going for a try which will more than likely take up the final 2mins. Clever england.

Another thing we missed tonight ...... Coenie. When Kruger came on we lost our scrum strength.

Momentum was inevitably lost when reshuffles happen. Having someone slot into a structure in a like for like replacement is the way to go surely, not reshuffle everyone to accommodate the new guy.

Hard fought win in the end when I'm sure it could have been almost a cricket score. As I said, a good run on 15 but other than Adriaan Strauss, the bench is pisssss poor. And it showed tonight.

2/2 though so no questions to be asked. You can't ask for more than a victory can you?

Edit: I should stress its the composition of the bench that is poor, not necessarily the players.

Something I picked up from today's game: the bench didn't provide the right balance, We missed Coenie and Frans Steyn's contribution at inside centre is underrated and unnecessary substitutions from the coach

Beast was also under pressure. Big time.

Nice one Bokke!

Scrum was the big problem, even BEFORE Kruger came on.

We didn't dominate yeah but we only started LOSING scrums when he came on. Coenie last week came on and just rocked it.

Would have given the kicking duties to Ruan after he came on. He has been in prolific form with the boot.

have to agree with mallet. we gifted them 14 points.

but of course those 14 points were borne out of pressure from the english.

When Juandre Kruger was injured did we play with 14 players or was he replaced whilst still being attended to?

They gave us a bit of a snotklap in the second half. There is some serious work that needs to be done this week.

Awesome first half though.

I'm reading on some international websites that Alberts' first try shouldn't have been allowed.

Anyone able to explain why?

Forwards never touch the ball and should have been a reset Scrum apparently
