Spur has gone too far

Like who gives a fu.. Are people so bored that they get offended by such stupid things. Get a life sensitive scum

Sure, hate is the wrong word, but it seems to be taken for granted and overlooked as poor quality. Well it seems pretty consistent to me for the last 30 years.

It's normally spoilt wealthy kids in the suburbs who virtue signal. They feed their BS to the people they consider has to be offended until some of them say: "Hey yeah that is mean."

It became profitable to be this useless in society and the term "influencer" was born.

Drip is drip, it is all up to the product in my opinion, and I don't even want to know which beans are used by Spur.

The best Espresso I ever had was at some business I had to see who had their own kitchen, stationed by two chaps who know their business.

To get back to Spur, Spur isn't 'cheap' any more either, but I would rather eat something there in the morning than at a place like Wimpy. Will I have lunch or dinner at Spur, no, there are better places providing better value.

That used to be true, but now their prices are soo much higher you can simply get exceptionally better quality for the same or not too much more at other places, Bossa for one, not to mention that at pretty much every other restaurant out there are also get service.

Spur's biggest pro is the kiddies play area.
 
I go there to eat. I really dont care about anything else, But the Food.

Do they still exists, only one I knew of was the one at Somerset Mall who got kicked out for numerous reasons among the bad service and kitchen that would probably loose a cleanliness contest to a landfill.

Was probably during the horse meat incident.

But I can still remember having my first burger ever as a laaitie at the Spur in the Strand, and it was without a doubt the best thing I've ever tasted. That and Mike's Kitchen ribs at the one in Bellville.

The Spur in Bedford Centre was also extremely good for a short period.

Oh wow. I remember working there when it first opened! Was incredibly high quality back then though, and always packed. The owner was a complete ****, though, always sitting in the corner of the bar with other guys from HO in Stellenbosch getting pissed on brandy and coke.

Anyway...Friend of ours, him and his wife invited us to Hussers grill for their daughters birthday. I took the pork belly.....jissis, was that a winner. I don't like eating at restaurants, but I'll go back for that pork belly.

Jir, I went there once, probaly late 90's. Ordered a burger, thought it's the safest meal to buy (seeing that I'm 'vol kak' with food). Jissis, it came with blue cheese. Needles to say, I left there hungry, only with beer in my belly.
