Star Wars: Battlefront

Don't think I've ever bothered with single player other than practicing.

I've cancelled my PS4 order and will rather get the PC version so I can use:

I still fly crap but at least I can fly without crashing immediately :o

That be a rather nice looking controller!! /jelly

I do agree with the single player, as most of my Battlefield campaigns would reflect.
I do feel that I hop on the multi player bandwagon early, to avoid the potential roflstomp that can happen with those who have unlocked a lot more than me by the time I join.

I pre-ordered this game. Should be finished downloading by the time I get home, does anybody know if there are server up yet in SA?

you do know you could have pre-downloaded as well as pre-ordered. I downloaded on Monday been playing already :D

Got it sitting on my desk. Just need to complete my PC upgrade (been procrastinating as it involves changing four PC's, moving parts around).

I've split screened the tutorials with a friend on my ps4 and so far it's great. I'll update re the online experience when I get to that.

[UPDATE]

I've now played 2 games online. The lag was noticeable but the game was playable 90% of the time. Once or twice during each game I lost my connection completely. I had to wait around 5 - 10 seconds for a reconnect. The game seems to hide your character or some such while you''re lagging out since both times I came back alive after lagging out.

Now I must add to this that I'm on Axxess 8mbps down 640kbps up but it is a shared line. I can't confirm whether the connection issues were due to me or not. Also mainly, I'm getting Vumatel soon, I will update again once I've played via fibre.

Hi guys - a month later - is anyone playing this, what's the experience from SA?
What's the concept of matchmaking, looking for SA players on SA servers, or internationally with a big ping?

The game is on special and I'm itching to try, but I'm somewhat hesitant after the Hardline disaster...

@mradovan - same boat, anyone playing this game ?

I play it, and its awesome! I've played in Jhb and Dbn, and from the UK, and actually dont notice any lag or ping issues regardless of location. To me, it seems its not the same as COD/Bf4 where ping plays such a key part.

Agree with Cicero.
My pings are usually around 200ms, but you don't really notice any lag in the gameplay.

@Cicero

I'm loving it On PC.
I have a personal problem.
Anyone wants to add me their game friends list....( I have no friends )

Are the servers still populated? I played the beta but got bored after a while, felt a bit "arcadey"

It looks and sounds great tho

I jump into a game every now and then and there always seems to be enough games active as long as you're not too picky on what game type you want to play.

I do only play the 8v8 modes though and I much prefer the original maps, I bought the Death Star DLC but I don't find it enjoyable - the space flight is just way too basic after getting used to something like Star Citizen and the FPS on those maps is just stupidly chaotic with grenades exploding everywhere (I guess that's find if you're into that).

Still one of my favourite FPS games currently though, but I'm biased because it's Star Wars :D
