Stop eating meat because..............

meat is good for you. as my hero denny crane says "meat makes you strong"

And if God didn't want you to eat bacon on you steak he wouldn't have made pigs to accompany the above mentioned cows!

hahaha...very true, how could i forget about bacon. my perfect women will wear a dress made out of bacon

I know like i said , i eat meat once maybe twice a week. To much of anything is bad. But why blame only the cows. Lets not stop, dogs cats horses. all the animals in parks.

Would you breathe less

In a controversial programme to reduce greenhouse gasses, the Green Party have called for a number of stark measures to be implemented. Chief among their plans is a nationwide campaign encouraging citizens to breathe less. The programme, dubbed Go Green - Go Blue highlights the fact that many of us take superfluous breaths on a day-to-day basis. The Greens contend that most people carry out their daily tasks using excessive amounts of air, stating that “there’s absolutely no need to run when you can walk or expand your lungs fully when you can expand them half way”. When asked how they would police the measure, they say they intend to issue every citizen with a special breathing monitor which will report back to their data banks via satellite and allow them to issue fines to heavy breathers. Paedophiles living near playgrounds and asthmatics have come out strongly against the move. Meanwhile, children are to be encouraged toward engaging with the new scheme via a re-release of Disney’s ‘Bare Necessities’ - entited ‘The Air Necessities’ which extolls the benefits of rationed air.

(okay this is old news, but I'm trying to make a point)

Ok lets start with the Beef.

Get's shot in the head at the Abatuar(sp?) Skinned and dropped on the cement floor till the guys come and collect them for the removal of the intestines.

The Beef then gets gutted, the people don't use gloves ! They some times nic themselves with the sharp big mother knives

Once done the meat is hanged on a conveyor and sent to a room where they wash down the meat and cover them and damp cloths.

This is then collected by different suppliers, the meat gets chucked in the back of a freezer truck after being carried on the shoulder of a poor guy who has been drving in the sun for 3 hours and now needs to load 50 big arse pieces of meat. Driven to the place of sale. There the meat is hanged again till the "Blockman" get's to it. Again, no gloves.

He hacks of meat in parts then puts it through a Belt saw which was cleaned 3 days ago. That same Saw has been cutting all kinds of bones and what not. (Have a look at the Blockman at your butcher, if he still has all 10 fingers..... he's new to the job.)

Now the meat is cut into more managable chuncks and stored again. When you get there and order a set cut he will go and take the managable chunck and do your required cut.

During this whole process when you take the meat from him. That same piece of meat was on the floor no less than 10 times, been handled by hands doing all kinds of funny stuff. The Butcher I worked at the Blockman never even washed his hands after he went to the loo

Now I would tell you what the wors is made up of but I'd rather just stop right here ;)

No, carry on. I still feel like eating a nice, juicy steak! What doesn't kill, adds flavour...

Tell us about the wors now. And don't forget the polony making process too...

I think it's very reasonable. In fact i'd suggest we stop farting. Or build a room in which all your fart gasses are trapped in, so they don't go out and damage the enviroment. In practice this means you keep all those gasses of yours safely inside your stomach until you are in "The Little Room." For your own safety you might want to wear a gas maks whilst inside "The Little Room."

-From the "We aren't born to live but to save (the enviroment) group."

Pitbull, i do agree that some meat is handled like that, but i hear kosher and halaal meat have very special needs, so just buy that :P Personally, I don't eat red meat, and bacteria can only live on the outside of the meat anyway, so once cooked slightly you are fine. Thats why eating a rare steak thats only been lightly cooked on the outsides is still fine!

I did see a post about red meat being bad for you colon, and I do agree. My brother got really sick, some colon problem, and the doc made him stop red meat, and he is fine now. I still think everything in regulation is ok! With regards to the enviroment, is it really worth you chaning your lifestyle when most of the "sinners" dont really care?

Dude, Polony is made of scraps, everyone knows that :p

Wors

The cut offs run down the belt saw and accumelates at the bottom. This together with all the other left overs at the end of the day is all minced together with some beef.

This includes but are not limmited to

Livers, heart, bladder, Belt saw "dust", senuws, tendents and what else thay have lying around at the end of the day. (Note butchers ONLY make their wors before the shop closes for the day, now you know why.)

They Mince all if it together about 4 or 5 times and mix it up really nicely. Spice it up ALOT then chuck it into the "Wors" maker thingy. With all of this happening you have Mr Butcher sweating like a pig all over the meat as he puts the meat through the mincer and Wors machine thingy. Again never washed his hands but that should be the least fo your worries ;)

Fscking hippies...

If the good lord intended me for me to be a vegetarian then he wouldn't have created steaks, now would he?

Nice! What's your point? Now I want a steak AND wors!!!

Again, Halaal and kosher stuff cant be made from the scraps, so if does bug you buy your wors and polony from them. They just process chunks of meat!
