DStv owner nails streaming pirate

MultiChoice's Irdeto anti-piracy department has announced that it has, in partnership with law enforcement, conducted a successful raid on an illegal streaming piracy operation in Worcester, Western Cape.

The raid occurred on 19 September 2024 and resulted in the arrest of an individual who allegedly distributed login credentials that allowed for unauthorised access to premium content.

Piracy will never go away unless Dstv adjust their prices. There are 100's of IPTV services around the world. Life is too expensive as is and to pay R700-R800 for a KAK quality streaming service.

Why not having a standalone sports package where people will pay for this package, but at a reasonable price.

That's a bit harsh to a Journo. Sure there are the fluff pieces from multichoice but if its a supposed arrest and charge etc, it is news.

If you overshoot your slot by a few minutes, does the next guy get the "too many concurrent" until you're done? So many, many questions

My biggest question... is how people accept the kak streaming quality. I look at YT, Netflix etc... 4k. Dstv... best we can do is 720 compressed to infinity....
