Hi everyone,
I have a 2 Mbps Telkom ADSL line and have requested an upgrade to 4 Mbps ADSL or VDSL from Telkom.
Apparently that's all I can get in my area right now.
I placed an order 2 weeks ago and nothing has happened yet.
I'm currently with Vox but can't get a decent wireless connection on my Roku Player since I'm using a VPN - granted it's only a 2 Mbps line and my connection to my Roku Player is wireless.
I'm getting 60-80% signal on my Roku just using my normal connection and this is quite sufficient to stream Netflix and live US channels.
When I use the VPN connection, this drops to 20-40% and I can't connect because the signal is too weak.
My current data provider is Vox Fat Pipe.
Had a trial with Crystal Web and found that to be a little better.
My VPN provider says I should be using 8 Mbps.
I'm also thinking of upgrading my Roku Player to a wired one using ethernet.
Are these upgrades and maybe a change of data provider going to help?
Thanks.
