As mentioned above, second outage this month with nothing mentioned by them. Just wondering if perhaps there is more information on here. One would wish they had a rep roaming these forums too but alas. Based in Mitchell's Plain, Cape Town

And off again around the same time as yesterday :( Let's see if it switches magically back on during load shedding in about 5 hours again

This is very frustrating. And switching ISPs is a process.
Indeed. It does seem to be an outage in Cape Town from reading their replies on Twitter and techies are working to fix it apparently. I wish they could announce these things on their Twitter instead of leaving us in the dark

Had problems with Supersonic for 3 years. They are extremely dishonest and you are better off moving ISPs. My internet has been disconnecting around this time too for the past two days, but last week it did as well.

Supersonic is useless ... multiple posts by myself on the same topic. try and move ISPs ... that's your only option

Have you moved away from them? Any advice on moving? I've seen just as many horror stories from being with them as trying to leave them.

It is insane how incompetent they are. If they had a rep on this forum they'd be getting hounded every hour

Which is why they do not. Not sure how so much public outrage there can be for Supersonic, including alleged illegal activities such as charging people for services unrendered, holding the lines of ex-clients that have canceled, and charging them... Yet no journalism is ever done on it.

100%. It baffles me how they get no repercussions for doing all of these things but I guess they simply don't care because no one will hold them accountable. They can keep doing what they're doing because they'll get away with it

Yes I did ... moved to Level-7, and never looked back. I just phoned up Level-7, and they took care of it. I was not on Debit order, so never had issues with that still going off after cancelling. They did try and swindle an extra month or two out of me ... but I emailed the CEO with all my previous complaints and emails to them, and told him to get stuffed. Never heard from them again

And still featuring on the top 10 list of ISPs

I have a feeling that its probably not the ISP but rather the fiber provider. But anyways my 24 month clawback period has passed so im out of here. Interesting fact, I am still being charged R845 p/m for a 50mb line on Vuma, when their pricing is R695 now.

One of my biggest gripes is that MyBroadband wrote so many pieces that put them in a good light - which is why I signed up with them in the first place.
Yet - they have mountains of evidence on their forums and I have not seen a single piece on what they have been up to.

Pity you on the Vuma Reach network else we could have offered you our service

Great support, Fair prices and can cancel anytime (if you wish) without cancellation fees
